Attention Devs -

In the webcasts that were released on Fridays during the Beta it was stated that elements of the Dev team worked on other projects, I am assuming this meant SOE's other online games. If this is the case how many personnell are working on the EQ2 issue and do you not think things would have went smoother had their resources been available to work on rolling out this MAJOR expanson? It is well known that the resources there are spread thin, but that is not the fault of the player base. Someone needs to address this, there is little excuse for it. Was this update even rolled out to a testing server before throwing it upon us?

Some hours ago the EU patching worked for a short time, it was possible for me to download some files but not all.

Means the SOE team fixed the problem but broke it again short after. Maybe this info helps.

I'm still having the same stupid problem in Station Launcher trying to get on EU servers. "an unknown error has occured while updating". It's been going on all day. I see that some of the posts have been moved to Support forums, but I didnt see the one specifically about this problem. SMILEY

And my launcher is still Sentinal's Fate themed....is it supposed to be like that?

Downloading the new "Launch Pad" (had no idea there was such a thing... nor streaming client...) and cleared cache, had a brief 240 KB download, and at least getting to launch screen with all my toons again. Definitely uninstalling Station Launcher outright.

There is a "new and improved" streaming client. And apparently a couple versions of that, as well as a couple versions of the old one (you know, the one that works).

And word is that sometime very soon, everyone is going to have to switch to the "new and improved" "streaming" "client". More like "steaming".

Everyone on beta was forced to run the Steaming Pile of Client, so the actual working old-school patcher never got any testing done on it at all.

If I am forced into the streaming client then that will be the end for me. Last time I was averaging 30 crashes a day and I haven't had one since I got rid of it and went back to the direct patcher, until today.

Well, it's 6:19pm est here and Everfrost is still down. Funny enough, if I move my mouse around, the red (DOWN) goes away and I have 4 characters. *sigh* Still not able to log in and I am using the recommended patcher, but I believe I'm using the streaming client.

I'm about to give up for the day, hopefully things will be fixed for tomorrow. *disappointed*
