Probably the best thing people can do is like go do something else thats fun and check back tomorrow. We're going to be playing DoV for a year, its not like the first day actually means anything in the long term - heck even short term. I mean its not like problems with an expansion launch are unexpected at this point.

Cya in game tomorrow people!

I don't know how clearly I can say this -- the REST of the software industry is required to keep users (especially paying users) posted on ETA or how long servers and applications will be out. MMOs seem to think they get a pass from this concept. It is really very unprofessional. At the least, subscriptions should be credited a day and the "launch day" reward should be extended if this goes on more than a few hours. For most users, a 4 to 5 hour delay means not playing the entire day -- they have jobs and other commitments to deal with.

To Whom It May Concern: Please don't unlock the servers until 11:15-11:30am Pacific, so I can win the guild pool on exact "Launch Time".   ;)

Wow, I am just amazed at how crazy the "mob" mentality can get.  Yes it stinks that we are not playing this very minute.  Heck, I am on vacation for this event so sure I am anxious to be on but....  it just drives me crazy how people have to know whose fault something is.  You know what?  Stuff happens and then it gets taken care of.  No matter how good you are at your job or how well you try to cross your t's and dot your i's if you live in a world where you think you can control everything you are in for a world of disappointment.

Try to relax like the rest of the thread and calm down.  It will get down with or without your rivating commentary.

Your talking to someone that had to fight with them over a digital download in the past. Sorry. I am hardcopy for life now.

As I said earlier, the reason why EU has no download to do is because they got a bunch of data (paper data hey!) on a boat (propelled by starving hamsters) crossing the Atlantic to bring them to their server team in Europe who have to type them all back... Problem is, the boat was called Titanic, so we should hire some divers first to retrieve the data y'know.

Then archaeologists to translate the pages to something understandable...

I think most people are just frustrated cause it feels like we paid for a service we arent receiving.  In most any other business it is considered unprofessional and imo ridiculous to not let customers know ETA for their product when it is overdue.  Nothing new im a 6 year vet I canceled my sub for the last year a and a half due to accountability issues and will probably do so again as I can play without paying and experience other mmos with way better accountability to the people that make them exist.

Guess its back to those games... Take it easy guys good luck with this, after 6 years I am convinced it will never change.
