![]() Well it's been several days now since I was able to play/log on 1. Windows 7 and the last Windows 7 update that may be related to the time frame (Friday the 17th) 2. Log in launcher is ok, but when it's time to launch, I do not see the EQ application appear in the bar below (it usually does) 3. Then the launcher which says "Launching" finishes and returns to saying "Launch Game" 4. The EQ2 application I see in the Task Manager process tab, but does nothing, never launches, ALso to note I cannot end the process either 5. If I try "Launching Game" again, it does not work and just adds another EQ2 application in the process tab of Task Manager 6. I tried rebooting the router/modem, no luck 7. I tried launching the application directly from the folder, same results Help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

![]() It sounds like you may have security software on your system that is preventing the game from launching correctly. If you do have any type of firewall/security software please be sure that the following files are not being blocked. launchpad.exe (EQ2 Streaming Client)stationlauncher.exe (Station Launcher)everquest2.exe (EQ2 game client) If you have these files listed as an exception in your firewall, try removing and re-adding them. |

![]() Tried what you suggested...no change, cannot launch the application Diabled all firewalls...no change, cannot launch application All I know is that it worked fine for on this new PC running Windows 7 for 8 months, and now it doesn't launch. This may have been after a Windows 7 update, but cannot be certain of that. Any other suggestions?

![]() I haven't heard recent comparability issues with Windows 7 updates and EverQuest II. You may want to consider performing a system restore prior to the update to see if you can get in. |
