I was going through some old posts and came across this thread from 2007: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...opic_id=397587.

Based on what we now know about Roehn, what are your thoughts? What is the horn of Roehn, and what connection does it have to the Sarnak?

VERY fascinating. Those horns all appear to be named after things associated with the void, including Roehn Theer. Considering the push/pull between Underfoot and the Void, maybe the Void-themed horns are a summoning call for the Underfoot elemental?

Maybe the Di'Zok family is Void Tainted?

For some reason the names of the other five horns sound Elvish. Myr'Dal, for example.

Thanks for correcting the link.

In regards to the notion that the Di'Zok may be tainted, in another thread from way back about Selrach Di'Zok using the pc sarnak model instead of the di'zok model, Vhalen said:

The Overking looks that way for a reason. He is Di'Zok and much more.

I always assumed he was just referring to the Sarnak super-soldier (pc sarnak) experiment, but who knows?

Aren't Myr'Dal the humanoids in the catacombs at LP?  Up on the ledges?

If I remember right, they were a mix of elf and something else, an experimental creature by Mayong.

Elf and Orc. You can witness them being created if you haunt the right section of Mistmoor Catacombs and leave the NPCs alone.

The basement area. There is a room with ritualists near the guest quarters. You witness an orc guest, then an elf guest (I can't remember which one is lead in first) get escorted to the ritualists chamber where they stand in a circle. The first one just disappears and when the ritual is finished for the second one it is replaced with a Myr'Dal (or the named version). I take it the ritual was developed to remind us that Mayong combined Tier'dal and giant spiders and is probably continuing his research into creating other cross-breads.
