![]() I realize this is supposed to be a tough zone but is this mob working as intended? We can kill him with a bit of luck but I want to know if either A) I'm missing something, B) The encounter isn't working like it's supposed to, or C) It's supposed to be a chaotic fight that you have to get lucky at to beat. Here's what happens. We spread out around the area and pull the mob. Around every 40-44 seconds he throws Blurring Blades, teleports over to a party member, and one shots them. We started running around a few seconds before Blurring Blades was due to go off but it didn't seem to matter much. He ports and insta-kills someone. He'll kill multiple someone's if they're too close together but we solved that by spreading out. Is this how the encounter is supposed to go? Blurring Blades, rez whoever dies, Blurring Blades, rez whoever died, rinse and repeat until the mob dies? Or is it a DPS check and the fail condition is him porting and insta-killing someone? Like I said, we can kill him, but it's a bunch of deaths. Just seems kinda odd. |

![]() Bring a class with a groupwide AE blocker and have everyone stack up behind the mob. Druids or bards with bladedance are awesome for this encounter. Typically never run the Vigilant zones without a dirge and chanter...way too many one shots can happen without them. |

Don't think we've tried an AE blocker on that guy before. But the AE goes off every 40 seconds or so. I suppose it would depend on how many classes we end up with that have AE blockers and the reuse timers on them. Still hard to believe this is how it was meant to work but I suppose it's possible. Not a fun fight IMHO. |

![]() To answer the question specifically: yes, it's working as intended. |

![]() It's a painful mob for low mitigation folks, in a painful zone for same. Two ways to deal with it: 1. Very strong healer and spread the people out as you have done, keeping in mind the physical damage AE has 2 ticks to it - be ready to fill quickly after the first, or the second will kill those 10% health folks. Cloth people who haven't taken the smart physical mitigation options in character development AA will just die no matter what, everyone else will have a chance to be filled up. 2. Pack in and interrupt. The AE after the port appears to be interruptable, if interrupt is used immediately after the port. With a brigand, coercer, inquis, etc in group close in hitting you will often see no ports, or at least no AE's after the port. |
