I don't like the new spell effects, they are less detailed and blah. For example my ice before looked awesome, crystals all over the mobs body, now it's just a shimmer of white waving across body. The new effects seem very low res compared to old.

Is there any way we can default back to the old higher res effects? If not, I would sure like to see that ability available in future. Kind like how you can swap bewteen the two char models....

No, and they've said multiple times before there will not be such an option. The best we can hope for is to keep prodding them on specific effects until they're decent looking.

Because it's been hashed out in hundreds of comments going back to the test servers and then again after GU57. The feedback has been overwhelmingly negative, however the best we can hope for is for individual spells to be tweaked as mentioned above.

Did you ever see the movie Good Morning Veitnam?  If all you allow the public to hear and see is good news then everything is fine.

So all the other threads on spell effects don't count?

The developers have already stated that they can not support two sets of spell effects.  These were put in place so that there is a visual difference to each grade of spell.

There are quite a few threads that pertain to this already, please add your voices there instead of opening new threads.  Thank you!
