![]() Im having a problem with the update it wont copy into my Sony folder for some reason, and on top of that I just reactivated my account yesterday. Can anyone help me out, or has anybody else had the same problem? This is what it says: There was a problem moving C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_9231_330.patched to C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running. I am using Windows 7 if that makes any difference. |

![]() using the /exit command or quit to desktop command creates an application error box asking to look for a solution. Also using torches and such have no effect with shader 3.0 enabled. Cloaks some of them appear to be highly metal when moving |

Did you run it as admin? Perhaps you should post this within the tech forums... I will see if I can run a search on that error though. |

![]() In reading the patch notes, I failed to notice any mention of the Druid Rings reactivation. Was this simply omitted, or was it not brought in with this patch?

![]() You forgot to mention the huge ginormous nerf to Fury and Mystic mythicals with this patch. It must have been a minor oversight... Good work.

![]() There is a druid ring event in in Nektulos Forest. My feedback: I abhor the decision to disable Qeynos and Freeport as starting cities. The design team's collective disinterest in player feedback on this issue is disheartening, to put it mildly.

![]() The splash page looks great but when I go to create a toon, even a Barbarian, I get no Halas, just Kelethin, Neriak and Timorous Deep. I logged in on another toon, when I go to travel all I get is a map with nothing on it and 2 black boxes on the bottom of it. Maybe because of Fetish UI? Gonna have to search :0) |

To fix the travel : Edit Fetish/eq2ui_popup.xml and add the following line at the bottom of the file before the /Page Code: eq2ui_popup_travelmap.xml So the end of the xml file should look like this. Code: eq2ui_popup_travelmap.xml As far as creating a new toon switch the the default UI for now to create one then switch back after until the author can patch the UI

![]() From what I read ... 1. There will be a quest to "build" a druid ring in/at New Halas. 2. The current druid rings will still work. However, clicking on a Tunare bush will show you a list on where you can go. In the patch itself, I'm not overly impressed. From the "hype" pages I read and images I saw, I found it funny there seems to be only 3 bararians in New Halas. I'm also not too into the 'dorky' kitten we're supposed to get if we log in between May 25 - 28. It does bring back fond memories of EQ1. Though I won't have my beloved shaman, I'll be aiming for a mystic or a berserker.

I have a friend who is brand new to the game in the few weeks. He started two new toons last night on the Queen's Colony. I asked him about it. He said he couldn't stand the other starting areas. He wasn't even aware of the change to come today and he wasn't at all happy to hear about it. I hope he ends up enjoying Frostfang since that is all he will have left. Great first impression. But on the upside "I" enjoy Frostfang. Halas is great. The new housing is the best yet. The travel revamp gets a 9 out of 10 and only lost that 1 point because of the Globe in land locked Kelethin while all the rest are at the ends of docks. Nice to have glide on "flying" mounts. And I am very pleased to hear that more quests are being added to the new endgame zones though it will be a while before I get there.

![]() Pretty freaking horrible so far. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=477390 is a serious issue that has yet to even be addressed. Everyone was quick to defend the marketplace mount, and other non-issues, but something serious like this goes unaddressed. Will play BG again once this is fixed. |

As being a WoW player, and now taking a bit of a break, I was surprised that EQ2 had a BG. When I looked it up on the forums here, I had to chuckle, as in WoW the BG doesn't work 80% of the time and it seems to have problems here too.

Shrug, they mentioned the fix for Reaver. I can't say I'm surprised though. They completely ignored the player feedback regarding fury/mystic mythical nerfs, the removal of the 2 decent starting zones, the BG armor upgrades, etc. Edit: On a positive note, I'm hoping the new raid zones are somewhat interesting. I know Gninja has been working closely with the players on test to try to make the Icy Keep zone interesting and of appropriate difficulty. I'm not excited about them reusing the same zone yet again, but it's pretty typical of how they usually work. I plan on running it tonight so we'll see. Crossing my fingers for now!

![]() After the first 10 mins of touring New Halas..I really loved the new player housing. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE GUILD HALL. after seeing the other housing I couldn't wait to see the guildhall. What a lazy cop out. very disappointed. |

Yes, especially indoors, where torch light doesn't carry very far. I turned up minimum ambient lighting some, but it doesn't seem to have helped.

Yes, the bags are so dark it is hard to tell what is in your inventory. I moved my gamma to max to try to compensate. I think there is a setting to turn off shader 3.0, I will be using it. |

Don't ferget - New Halas is NOT the old Halas of your memories. It was destroyed, totally. It was rebuilt by dwarfs - not barbarians. SoE perhaps should have given it an entire new name such as Dwarf City! |

I agree with the previous posters who are very disappointed about the removal of the isles, and I like the story about the new player who liked them. What some people find boring, others don't, and there are plenty of ways to discourage new players from choosing the isles while leaving them in for people who find them fun - as I do, who just spend eight or nine hours last night doing both of them one last time, and had quite a bit of fun with a storyline that's actually related to the city - the Freeport isle is was better, but Queen's Colony is was still enjoyable, particularly since I play mainly on the good side, and my main character, although starting in Freeport, I always intended to play a paladin. So with that, rather than getting into the whole Halas/New Halas thing, I'll just call the new city Not-Qeynos.
