I am having problems logging into game.  I stream eq2 and after todays patch it is telling me I have almost 1300mb of information to dl just to get to the char select.  I have rebooted, reinstalled from my alts folder and same thing.

Interesting, if somewhat puzzling.

You're getting this problem with the game already installed from the Steam Client.

You get the same problem installing it from scratch through the Steam SF Client.

Very interesting.

Am trying to login at the moment with the streaming player and it says around 1870 mb to download and the number fluctuates around that the whole time. I can log into the game although it goes very slowly. Can walk around and play just don't dare to zone atm hehe.

Edit: Game wasn't playable for me, warping mobs, heavy lag, invisible mobs guess that's because of the huge download happening in the background.

Edit 2: Restarted the client and it works now again.

Edit 3: Zoning takes forever (over 5 minutes now while loading Neriak

The problem seems to be with entity resources.

HAving same problem.

Streaming client starts d/ling when it is loading the character select screen. Which lags my loading a ton.  It will continue d/ling who knows what the whole time you are playing. Not sure whats going on, the numbhers hover around 2,900MB for me.

Try what the dev said here:

Okay, update:

If you are running the streaming client, try renaming your paks folder and run the streaming client again.  DO NOT delete your paks, just rename it.  For those of you that are not using the streaming client, I do not have a suggestion at this time, but keep an eye out for updates.

Thanks!

Streaming client not working. Please someone from SOE when trying to make a CLEAN install using the installer currently available on staition.sony, com I get the message:

Unable to retrieve assets from the

server. Please retry in a few minutes.

When trying to update my existing install it will patch the game to 74% (restarting several times) and give the message

An error occured communicating with the system. Error: 1032 id: IDS_FILEDIGESTMISMATCH param: CRC Mismatch: Expected 3482066002 but got 109930923: EverQuest2.exe - http://eq2.patch.station.sony.com/p...09601&cb=JD  Error Code: 1032

Any solution to this? Streaming patcher not updated properly? Am I the only idiot running the game with the streaming client? HELP!

Ok, so patching to german client actually solved the problem, so switching back to english actually makes the game work. Thank you so much for all the info SOE.
