Hah! I'll teach those devs to unlock Oasis when it's not ready yet! SMILEY

Servers were up (again), logged back in (Station Launcher doesn't let me choose characters since one is stuck and I got booted out so..) tried to get to Frontier zone and was stuck at Receiving Zone info..

.. now they are all back down again..

.. and let that be a lesson to them.

I'm surprised you let it sit there for that long..

That's their new way of locking the server without actually reporting the server is still down.

Funny when I try to log in as one of the characters that DOES show, it kicks me back to the character select screen, shows server down for 2 seconds, then goes to server available but when you select a character and hit play..

..yeah, you know the drill.. SMILEY

And of course, the Devs have to be just ignoring these posts cos they already know its [Removed for Content], so I don't mind making the jokes..

I'm looking forward to a server rollback which takes a level or four away from some folks.  That will make for some /popcorn-worthy forum threads.

Yeah, I just got dumped to the character select screen again (for the third time), where I see only 4 of my 9 toons, and "Oasis Server Down" in red next to each of their names.

And the hiys just keep on coming ...

I demand a new server...how is it that Oasis, one of the smallest servers, is having the most problems? Did you guys stick us with the horridly outdated last gen machine or something?

No, it's because we DO have the smallest server that we are the least squeaky wheel by result..

The rest of the servers have more people who complain and are more noisy in their... squeaky-ness..

OK now this is getting weirder. Under select character it shows 4 of my 7 toons ans says oasis server down under each but on the right under the character selected it shows oasis server as up...Stranger and stranger.

Obviously SOE out-sourced their Oasis server to some assassin and it's currently being run on twine strung between two tin cans out in Idaho.

Just went down again.

If this rolls back the same way the previous three zone crashes have gone down I have a guildmate who will ding 81 for the 4th time when it comes back up.  I wonder if it will be reflected as such on his levelling history on EQ2 players.

Yup. This is getting really old. I've noticed lately that Oasis (along with Mistmoore, for some reason) seems to be one of the very last servers to be unlocked, following 'regular' downtime - I think the theory that we're getting shafted because there are fewer of us to complain is a sound one.

So where's like, the official update?   I've worked in IT and when we had systems down we HAD to keep the end users updated or our phones would be ringing off the hook with everyone seeking an update.  Better to say we're keeping the server down for 30 minutes to work out some issues than have it come up several times only to crash again moments later.  Then come back in 30 minutes with another update.   Oh well....

I played for 20 minutes!  That's progress since I couldn't even get past "receiving zone info" for two hours.  Next time, I hope to play 22 minutes before the server crashes!

Nunya, FWIW, it looks like only our server and Naggy have been just horrifically broken for an extended period of time.  Everyone else is just dealing with crippling lag.
