Having bought all the previous updates, I have to say this has got to easily be the worst release ever in terms of getting the game out to the paying customer base.

I have ordered the European DD from DLGamer and the whole site looks like it was put together in 30 mins as somebody's school project. I thought this was the 6th expansion for the game ? You'd think this would be a slick well oiled machine by now.

My Digital Download key will not be available until 18:00 GMT which I'm guessing is 9am PST. Why ? What's the big deal with having it available when the servers go down at 12:00am PST ? Why isn't the update being rolled out ahead of time ? As one of the thousands of people who didn't get a Beta invite (whilst watching associates get invites for their 2nd/3rd accounts), I won't be able to use the Beta files to reduce the download time, so I'm going to be sat here watching my download count down the hours SMILEY

It's inconceivable that this release is by the same company that brought us the excellent deployment that was RoK.

SoE - please learn lessons from this fiasco.

Quick question .... To download the new content through the patcher will we have to have put in our game code to get it to do so or will it just download it automatically regardless? Reason I am asking is if we are not getting the codes till later now I had planned on starting the patch before going to bed so that the bulk of it would 'hopefully' be done when I got up and that I wouldn't have to spend all day downloading but if we arent going to get them till late on the 16th (or will be the 17th for me) this might be the case

I know I could download it through DLgamer but I know a few people who have tried it this way and had big problems with getting it installed so would prefer not to go down this road if possible as I am a bit of a numpty with computer stuff so if it did go wrong for me I wouldnt have a clue how to fix it lol

DLGamer has been around since about 2002, they where one of the pioneers of this type of transaction for online gaming and just about any game that reuires a activation key.

18:00 GMT is actually 10:00 Pacific

best lesson would be - don't offer any incentives and use a single distribution date.

just enter the code to your account then launch the normal patcher, it will download the missing files for the expansion once the key is active, downloading it from anywhere or installing the CD/DVD with an existing up to date copy of the game on your hard drive will add hours to your update

Thanks for the reply [Removed for Content] so I am not going to be able to start the download till Wednesday morning my time when I get the code from DLgamer so meaning I will have to spend a few hours patching during what should have been playtime

DL Gamer does NOT have invalid keys. They won't work until tomorrow.

Please don't enter your keys until then. If you enter it tomorrow and still have issues, then please immediately contact CS.

But that does not address the problem. We don't have them and they are telling us we will not get them until after the Servers have come back up. Maybe I am confused, did I miss an update?

There isn't anything that I can do about when they decide to send the keys.

All I can do is reassure everyone that the keys we gave them are good and the error is in trying to enter it before the 16th.

We're planning to have the servers up at 9am PST.

Ok, I give up, I have been defeated.

As a final comment; SOE picked dlgamer not us. Why can't SOE tell them to release the Keys. At worse, tell then to release the Keys when the servers go down so we can get ready.

Well i posted about this site a couple pages back and since for once i wanted the COLECTOR's edition with the goodies i gave it a try myself after a couple others took the chance and a guildie has used the site before too.

Well here is the results....signed up and placed my order...within 30 mins i now have my 3 Collector's editions keys that have been emailed to me and the boxes will be shipped. I can't test these keys until tomorrow but not expecting anything wrong with them at all. Best of all it cost be $69.99 USD like anywhere else and shipping which is optional cost me $38 USD for the 3 copies total. I think thats reasonable all things considered with this shenangins.

So if any of you Australians or anyone else outside NA or you can't find a box and your in NA somewhere give this site a go... i'll repost as soon as i can verify they keys are legite to let everyone know 100 % but right now i'm very happy.

Thanks for that Jax, but unfortunately DLgamer already has my money so I have to stick it out with them and hope they sort their act out but aint holding my breath

Just wanted to know why you tell us to NOT enter our keys before the 16?

I'm just saying, as I got my key from an online reseller and entered my key this afternoon... everything got activated, got all my features and double checked my account subscription and I'm really activated for Sentinel's Fate...

I for one am not giving up just yet lol.

below is most recent contact with them they are still trying to test keys but ofcourse they don't work. I have been trying to explain why. I sent another email to say send them out at original time and they should work np for players and if not they can contact soe support. I hope this works.

If you check your orders you will see they have updated info already. Am still working on it.........

I would have to assume due to the fact she is trying to be cautious.... If you register the key before the patch, anything can go wrong when servers come up tomorrow. I think that she is just erring on the side of caution. The fewer people with incident, the more time that can be spent helping those others that do have issues.

So I should be able to order these keys and then start the patcher on the morning of the 16th in theory...i'm currently away from the states, so was looking for a way to be able to still start on the 16th.. as long as I don't have to have anything previously downloaded..ie beta or what not then I should be good to go then..correct?

Only strange thing now is that some people are saying they have already entered keys without issues on their account and yet DL gamer can't get theirs working but they are probably different key with different restrictions from retail ones.

I just wanna get this party started and smoothly lol

LOl Papa I am doing the same and emailing DLgamer to try and get some answers and got the following reply, very similar to yours

Hello Sir,Unfortunately, we are encounting an Huge issue with our Activation keys, we have tried to activate a key on the SOE website then it return invalid.We cannot do anything for the moment, US got a DAY OFF and nobodies can answer on the publisher side.We definitively cannot send others activations keys without any contact with SoE staff on that case.For the moment there is no delay, game is live tomorrow, servers isn't up. We are confident in SOE staff to manage that issue in time.Regards,DLGamer staff

Waiting to hear back from them again, but I would be interested to hear as to why some peoples codes are working but the ones with DLgamer are not?

Kiara's been warning folks all ove rthe place not to enter any keys, no matter where they got them, befire the 16th, for fear they may bug.

yes but they were quoting 1800 gmt +1 so 10am pacific. But in the end i think it will get sorted if SOE contacts them which i'm sure they will in the end.

My question is..... I live in Japan, I play on nagafen (US server). If I purchase from one of those DD locations in the original post, will that key still work for my account? What I mean is, lets say I buy it off the DD merchant, enter the code, and load up the game. Will I all of a sudden be seeing Japanese servers? I want to play on the 16th but dont want to mess up my purchase... I've always just bought things off the station store, and never had to buy from a DD merchant that was selling Japanese/UK versions. So I don't know if they are the same...

Well here is the results....signed up and placed my order...within 30 mins i now have my 3 Collector's editions keys that have been emailed to me and the boxes will be shipped. I can't test these keys until tomorrow but not expecting anything wrong with them at all. Best of all it cost be $69.99 USD like anywhere else and shipping which is optional cost me $38 USD for the 3 copies total. I think thats reasonable all things considered with this shenangins. So if any of you Australians or anyone else outside NA or you can't find a box and your in NA somewhere give this site a go... i'll repost as soon as i can verify they keys are legite to let everyone know 100 % but right now i'm very happy.

I would have to assume due to the fact she is trying to be cautious.... If you register the key before the patch, anything can go wrong when servers come up tomorrow. I think that she is just erring on the side of caution. So I should be able to order these keys and then start the patcher on the morning of the 16th in theory...i'm currently away from the states, so was looking for a way to be able to still start on the 16th.. as long as I don't have to have anything previously downloaded..ie beta or what not then I should be good to go then..correct?

So fingers crossed i guess not sure what else i can do other then hope a soe rep gets in contant with them and explains whats going on. Only strange thing now is that some people are saying they have already entered keys without issues on their account and yet DL gamer can't get theirs working but they are probably different key with different restrictions from retail ones. I just wanna get this party started and smoothly lol __________________

I just wanna get this party started and smoothly lol LOl Papa I am doing the same and emailing DLgamer to try and get some answers and got the following reply, very similar to yours Hello Sir,Unfortunately, we are encounting an Huge issue with our Activation keys, we have tried to activate a key on the SOE website then it return invalid.We cannot do anything for the moment, US got a DAY OFF and nobodies can answer on the publisher side.We definitively cannot send others activations keys without any contact with SoE staff on that case.For the moment there is no delay, game is live tomorrow, servers isn't up. We are confident in SOE staff to manage that issue in time.Regards,DLGamer staff Waiting to hear back from them again, but I would be interested to hear as to why some peoples codes are working but the ones with DLgamer are not?

But in the end i think it will get sorted if SOE contacts them which i'm sure they will in the end. __________________

If I purchase from one of those DD locations in the original post, will that key still work for my account? What I mean is, lets say I buy it off the DD merchant, enter the code, and load up the game. Will I all of a sudden be seeing Japanese servers? I want to play on the 16th but dont want to mess up my purchase... I've always just bought things off the station store, and never had to buy from a DD merchant that was selling Japanese/UK versions. So I don't know if they are the same... __________________
