Hello. I'm a returning player. I strayed away to Vanguard and WoW for the last few years, but before that I was a Warden. I'm thinking about trying to play a different class, but stick to healing. How do Inquisitor and Templars compare to eachother in terms of soloing, healing, and need for each at endgame. I do plan on raiding (hopefully) during the endgame content. Would I be better off going back to Warden than switching to one of those two? Any help explaining the two classes is much appreciated. Edit: Yes, inquis not cleric. That's why I shouldn't post so late at night, lol. |

I'm going to answer your question with an assumption that you mean templars and inquisitors. Both of these classes are clerics, but templars are good and inquisitors are evil. Both clerics wear plate and use reactive heals. Reactives heals have a certain number of mini heals that trigger each time the target takes damage. Also they can both spec for pretty decent melee damage (though templars are not well known for doing so). They also have a cool AA ability called shield ally which gives a group member (tank usually) an extra chance to block an attack using the cleric's avoidence. Templar is very defensive oriented and considered one of the best single target (tank) healers. They have stoneskins and some good buffs to keep the tank alive. Inquisitor is extremely offensive oriented and can do quite a bit of dps themselves as well as buff their groups dps by quite a bit. I feel they are stronger full group healers than templars, but don't have quite as many abilities catered specifically to healing the tank. |
