Well thats a good start, shame it wasnt posted by SOE which should have been days ago.

Also there is no way I am paying £30 for an expansion pack.  Why call it an expansion pack when in my opinion its not an expansion pack at all.  I dont want to pay for something that I have already got and why the hell should I?  All I want is the expansion pack, the sentinals fate bit.  you can call it an expansion pack when it is just that, sentinals fate, not when it contains the whole darn game.

I must say other games are becoming more inviting now, I refuse to pay over the odds for a game I have already got right up to the point of shadows, this is great for new players and quite a bargain, but for many people like me, this is just a money grabbing waste of space.

Well, I already found a US site http://www.onlinecdkey.com  and he also sells the Collectors Edition.

I have done bussiness with him before, and with the crappy dollar it's even quite a bit cheaper too

His site is a bit crap, but his service is excellent and he delivers keys within 1-3 hours.

where's SF on that page?

it was, yesterday i think, but was removed shortly after..so while this might be a clue as dlgamer being one of the eu-distributors, the status quo is still the same

Actually on looking through the site and going to check out basket I tend to agree with you about whether this site is trustwrothy.  For starters it asks you to compelte details about your personal address along with email address etc, however there is no padlock sign at te bottom of the screen.  no padlock then I dont use it!

yeah, but i'll wait until they annouce the official links though, there might be better distributors for me

i do not own paypal, or credit cards, so unlocking paypal still requires 2-4 days, though i'm not sure if these are banking days or its done via computerscript, thus being able to verify account over the weekend

i continue to be patient ^^

May i speak the opinion that dares not be uttered? I am SORRY quite genuinely, this gives me no pleasure to say- but have seen the beta for this Expansion and it is NOT worth 30 pounds of anyones money. One new rather small city full of NPCs that do nothing but say hello is various ways- and not even NEW ways ('hail to thee' etc) - one large empty area with hundreds of random creatures wandering around it aimlessly, a few dungeons? It is ridiculous to force ppl to purchase the entire games history EVERY time they add what is to be honest a rather small extra bit. Other games have their expansions labelled as such and rely upon you owning the original game--- which you have to have to make the thing work---- these retail at about 14 pounds tops? AND make us jump through hoops to get the simplest information of how we might arrange to bend over backwards to be overcharged at the same time as everyone else? Really?

Totally agree with what is said here.  Marketing is a disgrace, I'd fire the entire team if that was any business I worked for.  Disgusting way to treat customers.  Trying to justify a few KOS type islands in the sky for £30, who make's these decisions, shareholders?  I didn't need the whole game last expansion to justify the overcharging and I don't need it this time round either, it's pathetic and nothing but greed to try cover expenses on a failing playerbase

i know what you mean, i felt exact the same on rok beta, as i did in tso (can't remember eof anymore)...empty zones with no actual life in there...landscapes that aren't flowing in another, just clustered together with occasional spawns

hands down, landing site tso is not better than paileel, firmrot are a couple of tents and thats it...all othere camps are a joke

while i agree it doesn't FEEL the same like rok/eof in size, i still was busy for a year in TSO...the size of the overland zone is about moors i think, but much better design imho

and while i were in may places in beta, i still can't make a decision if the content will be "worth" anything, just because, like any other exp you only get the idea by experience it on live...there will be additional features, many things tweaked last minute, and for last...you wont jump in betabuffed

Who is this DLgamer? I've never heard of them. Has Sony said that they're a legitimate distributor?

As far as I know, there has been no list yet of legitimate distributors from SOE.  I would advise caution if ordering from either of these companies.

I remember hearing complaints a few years back of onlinecdkey... so beware.

However on a good note, you now have an idea of how much it will cist approximately SMILEY

All I stated was to be careful when ordering from either of these companies until SOE lists the distributors that they plan to go through SMILEY (and what I heard of the other online store)...

Who are the usual 'outside of USA' DD distributors used? I would think that list would be fairly similar to this fabled list we are expecting.... obviously we are all rather keen to give SOE 30 quid for even a tiny expansion==== because we love the game. We are customers- that love the game. HEY! Wouldn't it be a lovely touch to offer JUST the expansion to players whose accounts were older than 3 years? That would be a lovely gesture.... as opposed to the other kind of gesture (LOL) that we fear receiving?

DLGamer have been around years. I used to get all my EQ1 expansions from them - SOE did a deal with them for the EU distribution of Omens of War (or possibly Gates of Discord, can't remember now which one it was they stopped having retail boxes for over here. Almost sure it was OoW) I did wonder if SOE would be using them again.

Whatever - made twp dozen or so purchases from them and the service has been prompt and friendly. No problem recommending them at all

What bad stuff have you heard about onlinecdkey.com?

I have ordered several times from him and he always delivered the keys nicely within 1-3 hours.

I even ordered the Collectors Edition of original EQ2 from him (as it was unavailable in Europe back then) and he nicely sent the metal case box over mail to Europe in good condition. That was 5 years ago.

He is a US based company with following details:

Donald Ford
 +1 937 879 9629, Fax: +1 937 879 9629
411 Clover St
Fairborn OH 45324 US

And as there is no difference between US and EU retail for EverQuest2. I don't see the problem really.

At least EU players that want the ingame mount from the Collectors Edition of this Expac, can get it through him.

I do not know what Shareana has heard, but I personally remember seeing posts on the LoTRO forums about this company.  People that wanted the US version that lived in Europe ordered through them.  Some people had no issues...  Others had really bad experiences with it SMILEY

I think that all the mod meant was to be careful since SOE has not given a list yet.

Out of Interest if we are doing a DD ..surely there should be a choice of NEW customer Existing game+all expansions and for  EXISTING customers a CHEAPER as stated around 15 pounds etc for purely needing the NEW expansion.

Also the new customers get 30 days free...if im purchasing the whole [Removed for Content] game again why not give everyone a month free miniumum too?

Im sure all these question have been posed before but seriously marketing team you fail. SMILEY

If any of the above will come to light etc I would sit tight and wait till after the gold rush and pay my 15 quid later - for some its about getting to stuff first etc...for me its not wasting precious beer money =p

Well I paid £14.99 for TSO from Amazon.co.uk, at release in 2008

So *BLEEP* if you think I am paying £30, for a smaller expansion pack.

I've used DLGamer for previous EQ2 expansions and had no problems with them.

I'd recommend them.

This information isn't yet ready to go public.

I understand how close to the 16th it is, I assure you.

However we cannot yet make this info public as there are still things that need sorting.

I appreciate your continued patience.

Also, please be aware that anyone offering to sell you keys that is NOT on the list of partners that we post (when we can finally post it) is suspect and may not be reliable.
