![]() I hate that flippin' spirit dog I have - does it actually do anything other than bark? It sure can't hold aggro. Damage? Does it do damage??? I can't stand it's stupid barking. I actually waste money getting petamorphs to cast on it so I don't have to listen to the god forsaken thing. I don't want to listen to dogs bark in RL and I sure as hell don't want to hear it in my game. Can I do anything to shut the [Removed for Content] thing up? |

![]() Does it do anything? Well, other than provide wards, haste, and proc an aoe blocker, no. Not a thing. Learn to love Dogdog the Wonder Pet or roll a cleric.

![]() If you don't put any AA in it to make it usefull ... no, it won't do much. If you don't want to hear the barking, just don't cast it. You can also mute the NPC callovers under sound options. |

![]() I guess the dog gets better later on. I just wish it would shut up. And, I have a templar. |

![]() Heh, I was just being a tad dramatic. The dog is very useful if you spec for it, though there are viable non-dog specs. Shaman in caster groups sometimes choose an alternate route as their group is out of range of dog benefits so often. For my part, I don't even notice the barking anymore. It's like xmas music when you work in retail; after a while you just don't hear it.

![]() The dog's bark is nothing compared to the necro companion's cackle. I don't care how well necros solo, I don't think I could put up with that; it's bad enough hearing it fighting undead mobs. So I'll be interested to hear if there's a work around. Petamorphs you say? P.S. "You can also mute the NPC callovers under sound options." Ohhh, that looks useful.

![]() I usually ask my coercer to turn her into a little rat. You can see her wailing away on the mobs with her fists and not a peep out of her. |

![]() Yeah.... I have a mystic and the AA that makes the dog useful. And it used to drive me absolutely, completely nuts! My solution is to hoard those pet illusions from SoL and use them to shut the durn thing up. Every time I cast it. Every time it dies. Yes, every time. Man, that dog is annoying.... I have actually had complaints about it from others too, during raids. |

![]() It is annoying things like this (and, omg, hoof/footsteps!) that keep me playing EQII silenced, with the radio or TV on for background noise. I would much prefer greater control over the sound options and be able to enjoy the score. |

That dog is annoying with the barking, I love Frogs, but I'm just not a dog lover, maybe we could have an option to swap the Dog for a oversized Frog, a scaly lizard like thing or something else more appropiate for Frogloks, there are so many of these models in the game that it would be a relatively simple change to implement this. We could even have quests set up to learn each different pet, anything but the barking please. |

![]() I want a cat. I can listen to a cat meow or rawr all day long, but the barking dog drives me to insanity. I'm sure everyone's different, though- forget insanity, I agree that the necro pet cackling makes me want to shoot in my own head. My poor head. /pet silence would just be lovely. Useful for my coercer, too... some of the nicest pets are the most annoying ones. Gah. |

Don't think /hide works on combat pets. Could be wrong though. I love my dog very useful. Much like one of the above posters said I don't even notice it barking anymore. Of course my mystic was my main when AA's first came out so I have had the dog for years now. |
