The Cloak of Pie

Well, the awaited Cloak of Pie became available this early morning (it's midnite pst) Thank you Sony, hehe, I'm sure we're gonna have a fun pie fight during the Erollisi Day Events

Hmm, did I get mine early, then? I was wearing it well before midnight (PST) this morning - like, for several hours yesterday afternoon/evening.

So far this cloak has been pretty fun. I immediately claimed it on my Inquisitor of Bristlebane. When you really need to smite a friend or foe, only a pie will do.

Question though: In the claim window the cloak says 1 per character, however, once you claim it there are no more for your other characters... so, is it actually 1 per character and bugged or 1 per account and improperly marked in the /claim window?

In another thread about this, Kiara informed us that this will be fixed soon. I believe, to make itclaimable for each character.

At least it's Heirloom, so if you want it on a different character you can, unless they're in exile.

I just want to state for the record...

I would much rather have had a Cloak of Cake. I think the obsession with pie is absurd.

CaKe, on the other hand, is layered and every layer can be different. It is a mature dessert. There is a band named after Cake. And they even had a video on MTV. Neither the song or the video had pie in it.

Now...

Can I have my Cloak of Cake? I would even settle for boots of cake:P

On a purely food level, I agree with you Roboto. I'm a cake person too.

Now having said that, American comedy has always featured the throwing of pies as part of their slap stick routine. A lot of the old cartoons and physical comedy groups used pies as a signature dessert. Pies in the face were far more common than cakes in the face. So considering that the Cloak of Pie creates pie projectile weapons (that can't be eaten), I consider it to be a very appropriate choice. Especially for the followers of Bristlebane.

If we could eat the food for an actually game benefit, then I'd join the pro cake counter movement. But under its current application, I'd say that pie is the best choice.

Pie=Qeynos Sickeningly sweet, with a brittle exterior and the guts get all over the place when you stick a knife in it.

Cake=Freeport Like Devil's Food Cake, evil with icing on it.
