![]() Hi there, I have recently built a couple of new computers for me and my friend to play EQ2 on. They have almost identical specs, differing only for him having a slightly beefier CPU/GPU. Both run Windows XP SP3. We got them up and running, copied over my EQ2 folder to each of them, and started playing. Immediately we note an issue of his keyboard not recognising alt+O to open the options window. We thought it was weird but fiddled around a bit and found the command is still bound to alt+O in options. We tried all other alt commands listed in options as currently bound, and none appear to work. Every bound command containing alt fails to work - trouble with the alt key perhaps! Alt tab out of the program... oh, alt+tab works. Strange. Open up other programs, and all alt functionality is intact - the problem is local to EQ2. We reloaded keymapping files, config files, just about anything we could think of. Then we noticed alt+6 through alt+= for his hotbars actually works. This may or may not have worked previous to us reloading files - we admittedly only tried the obvious commands like alt+O, alt+1, alt+2, etc etc. So now he's stuck without use of the alt key (well, besides 6 through =) just within EQ2. Any thoughts, suggestions, fixes for this problem? EDIT: I guess this is really, really obvious but the issue is not with the keyboard nor its drivers. Just thought I would mention that we have successfully used the keyboard fine on other computers and within other programs, and that a different keyboard yields exact results. Just thought I would get in before the stock-standard "fix your drivers, idiot" response Regards, Mandroid |
