![]() ok time for an update from me. have leveled to lvl 32 now, AA's is now 117. Have now finished FG, Crushbone and SH. But still have lots to do. Lots of green and blue quests. Nek forest I only have to do the Far Sea Table quests but have to wait until the table itself returns to the docks. FG was hard, not by the level of the mobs but the grind for the updates of some quests.. The priest of Byzola, what a pain.. After a camp of 2 hours I finally got him. Next step is going to be TS, hopefully I'll find Stiletto soon. With my last char, Butra, that took a while. Also BM will be fun, am curious if I can lay that heroic 31 3 up down after the 3 waves of 30 heroics. Then it's time to go off to EL and Zek. Also to finish the history of quests.. (Yeah finally more bag space!) So lots to do till next time. |

![]() Hehe those waves in BM arent easy indeed but you should be able to beat them with your AoE ... my Inquisitor really misses those only got one for damage. Also got the quest for the priest of Byzola but havent been down FG that deep solo, did go through it twice with a group though. Must admit i do a lot of grinding and staying at 22 as long as possible ... now ... 115 AA (and 116 coming up soon), finished TS as far as possible, cant start the far seas quests as you need to be lvl 23 (btw you can have a guild member that finished them share them to you if you group). Also already encountered Stiletto and won so no need to wait for him lol although wont start the quest yet. The AA looks very high but i really think that after i lvl to 27 or 28 i will have to level up again pretty fast to 32 as i'll have done so much already lol. Wonder how the others are doing havent heard much of them lately ? |

![]() good question Ghouti, I know that Trellium said he had pc troubles so that explains his lack of updates. As answer on my own question about the 3 up heroic in BM after the waves, yes I got him down, actually was pretty easy as well. AA does a lot. Have now leveled to 121 AA still at lvl 32 and started the crusader tree in the TSO lines. So only 19 AA left to spend before the big saving up begins Have already quested in Zek and some lvl 35 3 up's are now dead to my sword as well. It seems easier then before. I even encountered Goorius 2 times... Sure now I don't need him yet.. And to my surprise also a second sullon lieutenant..? So I think Zek had some changes. Have finished all but 1 of the History of books quest, wow what a bag space I have now so now back to TS first want to finish it, except for the table quests... So hopefully I find a guildmember online who has done them all. Nek and TS. Till next time |

![]() How do you managed to get 120+ AA with your progression? My wife and I play as a SK/Inqui duo at lvl 37 and have about 1500 quests/collections, killed more than 500 nameds and have visit and cleared every zone/dungeon but only have somewhat 95+ AA. Do you really have the slider set to zero when you turn on adventure xp?

![]() small update Still lvl 32 XP but now AA is 126. Have almost finished RoV, two book quests to go. Lots of mastered scored and even took down those pesky lvl 35 3 up's in the Sorcerer, Enchanter and the third room. Managed to get down Varsoon's ghost as well, so two heritage quests finished this way. AA does a lot indeed, I just finished FG but RoV is now also on the list. Can't wait to go to Nek Castle. Although I think Everling is harder then Varsoon. But maybe I can take down the sisters. Till next time. |

Hiya again! Sorry, yeah we are having issues with EQ2 now plus health issues so not playing much at all anymore. Still have one account active and popping in once in a while but its going to be hard to play much at all. But, wow, level 22 and 115 AA's is pretty amazing! Was hoping the Halas and the surrounding lower tier areas would be out soon to see if how much they add to the AA tree but it sounds like they will be bumped off until the next GU in May. Oh well, might be able to play more by then. Have fun everyone |

![]() small update Still lvl 32; AA leveled to 131, have now finished the second TSO line. 9 AA left to spend before the big saving starts. Only have yellow and orange quests left so planning to level to 37, also this way I can finish Nek Castle. Nek Castle is difficult cause lots of mem errors and if you killed a "sister" you get a lockout for 18 hours I have something to do this week |

Makes it a whole other experience Am also beginning to lvl up my tradeskill again so I can make my own armour for when I become lvl 42. Now to get me some ebon clusters.. Till next time. |

![]() Update Have leveled to lvl 42, AA's is now 147. So am filling stuff in TSO to not waste the points (will when i reach 70 reset some stuff but hate wasting points when I can still use them). Now have a lot of quests left to do. Have started several heritage quests which I hope to finish at this lvl. Also I hope to start in EF and see how far I come. But that's for very later on. Still have to finish some zones. Luckily I'm my own armorer cause I don't see much mastercrafted stuff for people at my level on my servers broker. Also totems are very rare (totem of the chameleon and jaguar anyone?) have crafters lots trust in selling these items? I'm glad I have some alts who have such totems left or can make them else I was a bit handicapped. Anyway the plan is to lvl to AA 168 or something more (have let go of 4.5 times XP lvl and going this way i still reach 250 way before lvl 70 so..) but I noticed I still have missed some quests so chronomagic here I come. Cause the ultimate goal is to have done all quests. To come back to the others, how are you going? Only see me updating now. Hope you have not lost faith in this playstyle? Till next time and hope to see some stories of others as well. |

Nice job. Level 60 SK with 120 AAs here. The guy is literally indestructible. I literally cannot die to solo mobs no matter how many I pull. I pulled the whole first area of SoS last night. I had about 30 mobs on me and finished the fight at 100% power and 100% health. Anyways, the bolded part I wanted to address. In order to do every quest, you need to betray back and forth several times for the city writs. It takes alot of planning.

![]() This is so cool watching you guys do this (sorry but I skipped pages 10-37). Glad to see I'm not the only one playing the whole game. I'm playing on a pvp server and we're capped at lvl * 1.5 AAs until 70. Also, we can only set the AA slider to 50% so we can't totally lock. I play with Disable Combat XP and Disable Quest XP and AA slider at 50% all the time. We get forced xp from pvp combat, but it's slightly diminished by the slider - I've been leveling up on this. I'm currently lvl 17 (warden btw) with 44 AAs, of which 26 are usable. With MC gear + 3 pvp pieces (giving 200 ward) and mastered out spells, I solo'd all the nameds in the ruins at 16 - well, except for the general, lol. My quest areas so far have been forest ruins, oakmyst, sunken city, the graveyard (gives nice buff item +1 to all stats), the ruins, all the book quests, CL, Ant, gFay, dlw, TD, BB, and WC. Note that some of the T1 zones have quests that start at 8 or 9, but finish over 10. Have done Return of the Light (can't believe i solo'd the high priest at 16 - I think he's nerfed a bit, hehe) and Dwarven Ring Mail HQs. I'm delighted to find the Far Seas Reqs give AA now the first time - they didn't before when I was playing. If you want to master out your spells, at least till 20ish - I know that sunken city, graveyard, and the ruins are on smartloot. I initially locked at 7 for couple days so I could get all the T1 spells that apply over 10, then locked at 9 till I had all my masters to lvl 12 in the bank. I run the ruins everyday but haven't seen any new masters I need lately. Good thing there's a market for them on the pvp server. Too bad, btw, about no Totem of Jaguar available on your server. I use these all the time on my higher toons. Just for reference, besides quests (including collections), named mobs (with * beside their name), and discos, you can also get AA from looting certain items for the first time - status items and certain of the Looted Treasure body loot (unless this got changed recently). |

![]() I started doing this a few weeks ago when I came back to the game. My older characters mostly have a pitiful amount of AA for their levels (such as 37 AAs at 39, 18 AAs at 20, 14 AAs at 26, etc). Two of them have more AAs than their level, but I feel like I missed too many quests, and if I hadn't put so much time into them two+ years ago, I would start them over. I made this shadowknight when SF came out, and so far I have 71 AA points at level 22, and I still have a ton of quests to do in TS, Nek, and BB. I've spent some time farming AAs and master books in WC, Blackburrow, and the first two levels of Stormhold (the chapel room wiped the floor with me). I can probably handle FG now that I have my MC gear for 22. Like Ranja, I almost never die, except for when I overpull against heroics that are several levels above me (^^^s). The only zone I haven't done much in is Antonica, due to the guards. I may try to get some more of those done before I move up to 27. I am a 27 armorer, which has been invaluable, although I wasn't happy with some of the advanced book prices. I'm not sure if they made it easier to make money, or if it is the fact that I can burn through heroics so easily now, but I find that I always have money to spend on collectibles (115 discovered, 41 complete), which has helped tremendously with the AAs. While it kind of feels like easy mode, it's still a lot of fun, and I'm doing more quests and killing more named npcs than on any of my older characters. Are all the classes viable for solo play when you level lock for AAs? I've been toying around with a ranger, illusionist, necro, and wizard, but I can't really decide on which one to keep leveling and make MC gear for. The illusionist appeals to me for the support role, but I solo a lot due to my school schedule. I may try a healer again... maybe an inquisitor. My templar was 26, and was pretty weak without a lot of AAs or MC armor. I have a 36 warden with about 42 or so AAs, but like I said earlier, I could have had way more AA if the slider had been around when I played last. I've pretty much become obsessed with AA grinding... now, I can't imagine playing any other way. I'm starting to ramble, so I'll leave it there. |

![]() I started a new character last night to do this type of play style.I have been reading and gotten sort of confused on the process. What I want is to do is the entire quest on the good side with one character (Paladin). Then I will create a new character who will do all the evil side quest (Assassin or Shadowknight). I would like to have the combat exp go to AA and the quest exp to 50% level and 50% AA. Is this possible? But just to end my confusion. Once I leave the island, I should get all of the quest I possibly can get in the Qeynos area and level until 12th level. And then put the slider all the way to 100%. Once I have completed the Qeynos and Kethlin quest. I should put the slider back to 0 and level until 17 then rinse repeat?????

![]() Zhern wrote: "I would like to have the combat exp go to AA and the quest exp to 50% level and 50% AA. Is this possible?" It's possible but then you have to think good about what you do. When you combat you must have the slider at 100 and when you want to turn in quests set the slider to 50% before you go to the quest npc. Remember if you want to combat again after the quest turn in to set it back to 100 again. Also tricky one if you have city writs that give aa, the last update also brings the quest to an end, so before you kill the last one set slider to 50% if you want this for city writs as well. When you leave the isle you already must have the slider at 100% cause else you won't gain the first aa on the isle already (the turn in of the 2 collections there) then do all the quests up to lvl 12 in if we follow your gameplan the "good" area (Qeynos, Kelethin, TD (neutral so we will count it as good then Have fun and let us know of your progress. |

Thanks for the reply. Hit 12 this morning and I am having a blast, finished alot of quest and got 7 AA points so far. I do have one last question. Would it matter to go to the 4th level then set the slider to 100%. Since we are going to get a grandmaster selection at that level, it just seems the best course of action. But if I will lose quest by doing this, then I will stay at 12. Thanks for the reply.

No it doesn't matter, certainly not the early stages. If you want to level to 14 then do that. I made the system to 12 for the mc armour and for later on in the game. Have fun. |

![]() Before I start, a big thanks to Levatino. I am a hardcore soloer and went through six unsatisfying toons before reading your post. I'm running my latest toon with your system and enjoying it very much. My toon is not a tradition one, and one that might draw some criticism. But I have always followed the rule "play the game the way you want to, for maximum enjoyment." I'll describe how I am playing and would appreciate any comments / suggestions. I am playing a berserker, who is currently level 22 with 55 AAs. Based in Freeport, I have completed questing in DLW and TD, and am close to finishing the sewers and GF. I have not done Antonica due to the guards. For my AAs I have selected the following SF Warrior trees: STR: 10 10 2 1 INT: 10 10 2 1 Like I said, I am a hardcore soloer with no intentions of grouping. Therefore I am trying to maximize my damage instead of thinking in a tanking mindset. I am leveling my toon per the following methodology: at every milestone level of x2 and x7, once I have 3x the AAs to my level, I level up 5 levels. This way I hope to have around 240 AAs when I hit level 80, so I only have 10AAs to do between levels 80 and 90. I like it as it gives me a firm goal to reach, and leveling my AAs never seems a burden when I know I only need 15AAs before I get to upgrade my CAs, my Armor/Weapons, or both, depending on level. Due to all the loots I get I am leveling my transmuting, but I am not currently leveling any other tradeskills. I just find it too tedious stopping all the time to harvest (I'll probably regret this later). I do stop to harvest for collections, but honestly I don't find the amount of AA it all that great. Anyways, to keep this post from getting too long, I'll stop here. Just wanted to say thanks for the level-locking system - it has made the game truly enjoyable for me. I will update once in a while as I hit some higher levels. |

![]() Thank you for mentioning me, mephisto12345, but to be honest this leveling was already done by others I just apparantly made the first post about it. So I love to take credit for it but to be honest I can't cause I wasn't the only and certainly not the first. But I love that you like my system and guide. Now about your asking of commenting your system of play. It sounds good, but I gave my view on it. You'll notice you can level faster in the beginning with AA's, so if you go with 3x the AA's when you can easily go 4.5 to 5 AA in the beginning you will hurt yourself later on. AA leveling will go down when you reach the later stages of leveling. So on average 3x sounds great but let it be on average and not a set rule. But that's just my advice. On the tradeskill, I too found it not so great in the beginning but I start to like it also cause you can then start some nice quests on the Isle of Mara when you turn 50 in tradeskill and with the tradeskill councelar in WFP (for me he is, don't know where he is in other cities but maybe others can clarify that) Also it can be a moneysaver if you make your own armour or adept III books for instance. But yeah I can understand why you may find it tedious and repetitive. But again thanks for posting and I hope we can read more about your adventuring in levellock-world. |

![]() btw a personal update on my own progress. Currently I am still lvl 42 with 160 AA. So the big saving of AA has begun. I however still have lots to do before I have to level up my XP again, still haven't visited Klak'Anon yet for instance. I started Everfrost and have beaten up that lvl 47 3 up with companions near that tree so I know which heroics I can handle now.. Saying that however I didn't had a chance on that second prince in DFC.. He ate me up alive.. So I plan to finish DFC when I'm 47 Concluding, there is a lot of difference in heroics in game. So just try some out.. You'll find out soon enough which you can handle, or not... See you next time. |

![]() After reading this post I decided to try this on a shadowknight. After 3 nights of playing for about 5 hrs each night i have 25 aa's and levled up to 13 because i wanted Sheild bash. I have made enough money selling drops that i have bought a horse to help with all the running, and purchased most of my mastercrafted armour for my level. I feel like such a killing machine that sometimes i will die because i will try to pull way more than i can handle. I sent this link to a friend and he is thinking of rejoining game and doing this with me so we can explore all the places in the game. Thanks to the OP for giving me a renewed love for this game and that it is not just a race to max level. |

![]() thanks for the compliment vdogg also have an update of my personal progress. Am leveled to xp lvl 52, currently finishing the old world like Everfrost and Lavastorm although I have still lots to do in LS have decided to also try Sinking Sands and Pillar of Flames. With the last bonus weekend my aa has progressed to almost 181. So that's going good! Heritage quests are also great to do, especially if you can do them solo. Have soloed Cazic Thule and the Screaming Mace quest. I was very proud when I beat that last mob in this quest. Cause wow can he hit hard. Have still lots of quest to finish but also still have room for many more, so also thinking of visiting Lesser Faydark and see how that goes. Am excited about it cause to be frank never went there. So lots of new stuff for me. Ok till next time |
