Unable to change voice push to talk key

I'm unable to change my voice push to talk key it was the left control but I use that for my hotkeys now and even when I go to voice options and change it to a different key it still opens my mic whenever I hit Control PLEASE HELP my guild hates me XD

If it matters im using Windows Vista home prem. 64bit

I am having this same problem. It says that left control is bound to ui_ctrlbank, yet still it acts as a PTT key, even when I bind Middle Mouse button as my primary PTT, and no secondary PTT is chosen.

/sigh. I am having the same issue. It is causing much aggravation for others as well.

I changed my Push-To-Talk key to BUTTON-5. This allows me to talk normally in in-game voice quite fine.

I use the exact same keybaord, same keybindings, same headset, and same custom UI on my two other laptops (one laptop is WinXP 32bit, another laptop Vista 64bit) with none of these issues I am currently having with the Left Control button. Ugh, about to lose it and probably stop going to use in-game voice all together whenever I play on my desktop computer. My desktop computer uses Win7 32bit.

I am going to try reinstalling the game. I hope this fixes it otherwsie I can not even join to just listen to chat due to the consistant on and off when the left control button is pressed and constant on and off when the left control button is released.

Issue :

The default PTT key, Left Control button, continues to activate Voice BUT only when there is a change in key status detected for the Left Control button. So, voice comes on then off when I hold down the Left Control button; when I release the Left Control button, voice again comes on then off. It stays on for about a second before turning off.

Problem :

In the Voice Chat options, I changed my Push-to-talk keybinding to BUTTON-5. This is the side button on my mouse and is not the Left Control Button. The secondary Push-to-talk keybinding is EMPTY. I can not use my Left Control button since I use this button for accessing my teritary hotkeys in-combat.

So, while I am in-combat, the Voice channel is continuously on and off like crazy causing other player's to think I am talking and also changes other player's in-game volume due to the game believing someone wants to talk.

Solution :

Found nothing so far. I deleted the files listed in the forum thread Push to Talk Green Button and did not fix the problem.

Look at your settings in the Station Launcher once logged in, there is a voice option that also sets PTT to Ctrl. Change it to something else.
