RACE CHANGE TOKEN

Not sure if this is the right place for this rant. I have not frequented these boards since way before as a beta tester and T5 raider.

I HATE that race change is a 25 dollar fee. Outrageous. 25 dollars is half of a tank of gas, half of an entree at a restaurant, a pair of socks. 25 DOLLARS IS TOO MUCH.

While I get where you're coming from, the original SOE stance was basically that races could truly change (on a game mechanics level) about the time that hell freezes over. In other words, never. However due to the massive outcry that the racial trait revamp has caused, they added it as an option for a ridiculous price.

This issue was already the subject of much complaint and debate when it first came out. However in the end, the basic stance was either like it or leave it. There's really nothing else that will be done on this front.

And since Races lost all their cool "flavor" abilities, they're all the same now. So it's just a choice of appearance. I'd just stock up on appearance totems instead. "EQ2 -- We don't do subtle."

The only thing I can see that is about right(and only when gas was like $4/gal) was the gas price. Seriously if you are paying that much for half of an entree or a pair of socks I think you are better off and can afford it.

Yeah seriously if one meal for you is $50, I think you can suck it up and pay for the racial change token. I have expensive tastes, but not that expensive. Could be worse, you could be in Europe. Race change token is $45 there.
