Since the update my threat meter has vanished, EVEN IN COMBAT there is no threat meter.

The key combo in my setting is ctrl + T to toggle the window, i do that and still nothing,

ive deleteed my entire ui folder and re patched  and still no threat meter. ive changed the ui setting to default, still no threat meter.

anyone have a solution?

Greetings,

Please open the options menu inside the game and go to the UI options.  Under the 'Game Windows' section please put a check in the box that say "Keep main HUD windows visible" and remove the check from the "Allow windows offscreen" box.  Accept those options and that should force the window to appear.

That should work as well, though it will take a little longer.  Let us know if you need any further assistance.

No , it still will not show. using the defaul ui  and in combat.

Strang thing is when i install profit ui you can actually see the ui as your player is being put into to world and at that point i see the threat meter and get the tool tip, but as soon as my player enters the world it disapears and never returns.

so i delete my profit ui folder, the default folder, re run eq2 and repatch, set the check boxes as you suggested , enter combat and no threat meter, and while in combat i hit ctrl t several times and i still get no threat meter.

It sounds like the window might be set as transparent for some reason.  Try to note where it is on the screen while it is loading and right click in that location when the zone loads.  Hopefully that will let you select open the 'windows settings' box and change the opacity of the threat meter.  Let me know if that doesn't work.

Let's delete the threat window file and let the game repatch.  I have listed the specific file below:

eq2ui_mainhud_threat.xml

That file should be located in the following directory, assuming you installed to the default location:

C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest IIUIDefault

Let me know if the issue persists at that point.

Are you soloing a mob?

The threat meter no longer displays unless its necessary.  This means you have to have more than one person in combat.  If its just you, you're guaranteed to always have 100% hate and no need for a hate meter.

That's very strange. I wonder if this is part of the complex shader issue that seems to be occurring for some people.

Please open the 'Options' window, go to the 'Display' tab, and expand the 'Performance' section.  Then move the 'complex shader distance' slider all the way to the left.  Let me know if that has an effect on the issue.

EDIT: Ah, nevermind.  Rothgar with the inside infos!

Ok ,

So the Problem with the User interface Threat meter turns out not to be an Interface issue at all, Only a user problem.

Looking at the error logs it tells me it was an ID-10-T error.

I was solo, and I made the changes to the opacity which made it not work properly after grouping.

So after 2.5 hours of deleting and repatching files, I think ill have myself an adult beverage and play the game.

Sorry to waste your time but thanks for your insight.

issue resolved

That explains why it looks buggy when I'm on the necro I suppose. Is it possible add an option to just have it always on? I liked it just fine as it was and find the new implementation annoying because it pops in and out even during combat.

I play a coercer on AB.  I use my threat meter to know how much hate I have relative to my pet.  I found that my threat meter would appear and disappear repeatedly during a fight.  If my hate starts to climb it would appear and then disappear again.

Please fix this.  I prefer the window to stay showing all the time.  I understand SOE may want to be fancy and helpful.  Please make this feature optional.  It is very not helpful for me and very distracting during a fight for the hate meter to continually appear and disappear.

Thanks,

Elithril on AB

Yes. Please fix the meter so it's always on, or at least give the players the option to have it always on. It's extremely frustrating for the Mage classes the way it is now.

I'm having the same isue, the threat meter dosent show untill i start to develop agro, then it will disapear, and most times does not come back un till my agro is 100%.

I'm also a coercer, and finding it hard to track my agro in conjunction with my pets as they dont show at all, and the pet window has no agro meter of its own.

I also would rather have it showing all the time,  and find it anoying as it is now, please fix this soon.

I'm having the same problem with the threat meter flashing on and off while soloing with my pet on my necromancer.  It's very distracting and I'd like the option to keep it visible at all times.
