Can someone provide me the link where the DEVs said they are stopping the skeletal revamp as it is too taxing on the current code? I am having trouble finding it.

Many thanks!

I merely asked if someone could provide me with the link where the DEVs stated they stopped working on it. If someone could show me the link, I would greatly appreciate it.

I dont need to know about the skeletal revamp as I already know about it. I would like the link where the DEVs stted they are going to stop working on it.

Many thanks for those who can help me with this (without misunderstanding my post). SMILEY

http://eq2.allakhazam.com/wiki/Dev_...at_July_31_2008Bludwyng: Labratt asks, Are there any updates on the skeletal model changes?

Kirstie: The skeletal revamp has been through a lot of iterations internally on the EQII team and is now a bit of a misnomer. The original technology that we had planned to use didn't work out as we expected (software, who knew).

Kirstie: And we are also being careful not to drastically change the character models. We don't want anyone to log in one day and not recognize their favorite character.

Kirstie: What we are focusing on now is ways to customize the look of your character with what we're referring to as "snap ons" that will change your characters profile or silhouette.

Kirstie: There are also a few other plans to enhance the look of characters that we'll be talking about more once we are more confident that they will work within the EQII framework

i don't know why people get excited when someone randomly replies on a general thread, like maybe i just felt like replying and stating the obvious to emphasize it.

By the same token, I don't know why you bothered replying, when you clearly had no intention of adding any value to the thread or even answering the OP's question./shrug.  Perspective is a funny thing.

i thought my intentions were clear enough in that last reply, but the last part you said is right.

A good example of Snap-On armor that they're talking about is the frostrune caster robe from Fens of Nathsar for females. It actually lifts and separates.

It means gigantic shoulderpads for one thing.

It means ginourmous shoulderpads so rediculously large that if you raised your elbow to be even with your shoudler, you would actually decapitate yourself.

Being that there have been some changes to just about all of the game since this post began, I better lock it up to avoid confusion... SMILEY
