Dominus Rile was introduced as a major player with TSO, and is up to no good. Wouldn't be surprised to see more of him in the future.

The Odus expansion will talk about the Erudites and why they changed, as well as lore on the fate of Al'Kabor, Ratongas, the Prophecy of the Shissar, and  Kerra lore.

There wasn't a whole lot talked about at the lore panel, I think I taped it, so if I did it will be up on Youtube in the near future.

Also alot of other major names where "Still around" but they didn't want to talk about it...in part because they don't want to step on toes of future development.

Sadly, it was confirmed that the Iksar race was not going to rise to superiority once again and reclaim all of Kunark in the name of glory, retaking Sebilis and Cabilis and then forcing all the other races into submission.  This is very upsetting.

In all seriousness however, Venril wanting to off his father again isn't surprising.  I'm looking forward to seeing what new lore comes of this development, and others.

Also, it was once again confirmed that the ice dragon hatchling that we set loose into the world during frostfell was indeed going to be making a return.  When and where?  We don't know.

Since we're talking about Rile, I do have a question regarding him. Now I've completed just about every quest in Riliss that I know of, and I'm max faction with the city as a result. 2 things I'm wondering that I haven't been filled in on in any of the questing.

1) Why is Dominus Rile KoS to everyone? Is there something later on that we find out regarding this? Also regarding this, are there any other plans that Rile is up to other than obviously trying to kill his father and restore iksars to their rightful ruling place on Kunark?

2) How is it that he has a body? Or is it that the sparkling around him is supposed to signify that he is a spirit of some kind? As far as I knew, Venril was resurrected within the body of Rile, which it what we saw back in EQLive. Now with the sarnaks stumbling into I think it was Charasis (sp?) and accidentally finishing his spell of immortality thus making him a lich, send him back into his own body and put Rile's spirit back into his?

p.s. Dreyco, I sympathize with you greatly my scaled brother, I do

The lore panel was fun to sit in and see the Lore Developers all giddy and giggling and secretive.

Things we know:Right now none of the superior races will be conquering Norrath... yet.

Ratonga are getting more lore, hooray!

Kerra are getting more lore, hooray. (If you call them Kerran, they get mad btw)

Erudites are getting more lore, hooray!

New Halas will be coming, more lore for Barbarians, hooray! (And apparently it is Ha-la-s, not Hal-As)

More "Interactive Lore Quests" like Vhalen and Doomcookie used to have.  Find hints on forum, find quest in game, learn new cool things because you are a lore fiend.

Next years Frostfell Quest will give us some closure... maybe.

The Nights of the Dead event will be even more fun this coming year.

Domino loses her voice really fast.

PANDAS!  But not playable... as far as we know.

Here is the part of the Future panel that talked about Odus lore, he went into SLIGHTLY more detail in the earlier panel but not by much.

That maybe do to just about every EQ2 player that knows what she looks like wanting to talk to her...every time I saw her where she wasn't at a panel... there looked like there was a line to talk to her.

Huh, the pandas are new. I wonder what they will be called?

If they turn out to be playable, that would actually really cheeze off a lot of WoW players.

Personally I'd settle for an illusion. Oh, and a Panda pet for my warden. SMILEY

Yes that doesn't help either.

As temporarily funny as that would be, I would rather they spend their developer "zots" making a player race I would actually seriously consider making.

We'll have to wait for Velious and the Icepaw Gnolls for that. But if SOE has the guts to give EQ2 the advertizing budget it would be funny.

Actually, they are the most likely to detect the influence of the void before other races. They are also the ones most likely to fall victem to the allure of void influence... I wouldn't say this started with the Euradites, but right now I'd bet the ones not directly under void control are probably cursing the arrogance of the ones that are and are working to free them and stop the void invasion. Nevermind that if the positions had been reversed they would of done it too.

Panda's would be amazing.

I've always wanted a brute-esqe race. Like gorrillas or something. Panda's would be awesome.

Panda Dirge.

Panda Inquisitor.

omg the selection!

I doubt that Pandas will be part of New Halas. But besides that, the pandas shown at the Fan Faire panel were sentient-looking bipedal pandas, not your run-of-the-mill wild animal panda (Think Kung Fu Panda, the movie).

The pandas will likely be in Stonebrunt mountains, where they were in EQ1.

The models were far too detailed to be PC models anyway, but there was a race of bi-pedal pandas that lived in Stonebrundt...

Well... They were basically panda versions of the Kodiak bear model from Velious, and weren't treated as a race, but apparently they have some culture of their own now.
