It is now 18:55 Eastern Time, just short of 2 hours past time everything was supposed to be back up. Network status page has been telling me all servers are up for nearly that time. But both LoN and EQ II login attempts consistantly "Operation has timed out" as if no servers were found.

Would really appreciate being able to get on sometime today.

7:15pm est

One account can get in fine, one account keeps returning 'operation timed out' when trying to log in.

For people who are still getting the timeout message, first try restarting your computer and modem/router.

If the problem persists at that point, it seems likely that a firewall is blocking the game.  Please open your firewall's exception list and delete anything with EQ2, Everquest 2, or launchpad.  Once you do that, restart your computer again.  Then the next time you try to run the program it should ask you to allow or deny the game.  Select allow and hopefully that should correct the problem.

I've tried rebooting everything in the house since approx 5pm est.

On the same machine, same install directory... One account (the one I am posting on) can access the game and forums fine.My other account (of course Mr.Murphy says it's my main) cannot log into game or forums.

In launchpad:If I mistype the password, it comes back immediately with incorrect username/password error. If I try to login to launchpad with correct information, it errors with 'operation timed out'.

As of now, I am still unable to access my Station account information at all including being able to renew my Subscription.  Any further updates as to when this will be fixed?

What really drives me mad here, is that a server maintenance session apparently came to someones mind late Sunday afternoon, possibly after an all day Pub crawl, too much sun on the beach, a bad Hot Dog off the BBQ in the backyard or any other bogus reasons.

This person seems to have power over pretty much everyone else and is capable of scheduling this maintenance with notifying one Admin, who posts the first message to this 5-hour server down on Sunday evening around 6pm. French and German Servers actually got the notification after the fact on Monday, about 5 minutes in the French Forum and 25 minutes in the German Forum, that the servers were shut down.

Now whoever this person possibly could be I would politely ask to possibly rethink decisions off a larger magnitude more carefully, possibly make him/herself aware of global situations, i.e not everywhere in the world do we have the same time as in PST. And whoever you are, be aware that you are affecting a customerbase with your decisions just in case that you are thinking that your world is a complete virtual one. Granted, partially right but.....oompf...still so wrong.

My apologies if the serverbank started melting on Sunday evening and the servers had to come down in an emergency, what of course with a 9am serverdown on a Monday morning seems somewhat too coincidental for an emergency.

I just have to shake my head over and over again at this decision making process at this company, very questionable indeed.

The account pages should be up and operational at this point.  Please let me know if you are still experiencing any issues.
