Now your friend will need to do the following: 1. Open your invitation email that says "Your Friend has Sent You a Free EverQuest II Trial Invitation for a Sony Online Entertainment Program" 2. Click on the first link that says "Click here to create a Station Account and activate your EQII trial." 3. In the new window, click on the "Get Started Now" button. 4. Click on the "Click Here to Join Free" button to create an account. 5. Enter in your Birthdate and Country, then click on Continue. 6. Fill out the Sign-Up form, then click on Continue. NOTE: Keep your Station Name and Password handy for the rest of these instructions. 7. Click on the Continue button again. IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLICK ON THE STATION LAUNCHER LINK OR THE "GET IT" BUTTON. 8. Log in with the Station Name and Password that you just created. 9. In the new Welcome Screen, click on the Station Launcher link. 10. In the new download window, click on Run, and install Station Launcher. 11. In the Station Launcher Log-In window, log in with your newly created Station Name and Password. 12. Click on EverQuest II in the Games list. 13. Click on Accept, then Continue. 14. Click on Play to begin playing! I find that, for step 9, there is actually no "new welcome screen", but that your invitees have to click the link in their e-mail, click the "Get Started Now!" button again, and then click the link for the station launcher there. This link also doesn't work, but it's the only way for invitees to activate their trial and link it with your account after being invited.

![]() Well, issue is, email instructions indicate two steps as I listed above. Those two instructions are easy to follow and unfortunately can be completed without a KB article. What a fiasco, if those EXACT steps were needed, especially the step between creating an account and downloading the station launcher - THEN SHOULDNT THAT HAVE BEEN ON THE EMAIL INSTRUCTIONS! Now my problem is my recruits' status state "invitation sent". The recruit account is active, in fact subscribed and purchased TSO and has the promotion cloak. However, it is somehow not correctly linking with me. I don't have any /claim options and while grouped there is no teleport option.

![]() It doesn't matter what you think the instructions were in the e-mail. They are to be followed as structured in the knowledge base or you risk losing out on the promotion or the dissatisfaction of attempts for resolution through customer service. Invitation status has 3 stages. "Invitation Sent" > "Trying Game" is instant once their trial is activated. Revisit instructions w/ the invitee or call CS at 1-838-537-0898 if this hasn't happened. Telephonic and live chat support isn't available until Tuesday under SOE's normal business hours. Petitions might suffice until then, but I've been waiting 2-3 days for mine to get further response."Trying Game" > "You've been rewarded" takes 3-24 hrs. If you think there's something to be known about this promotion, my posts covered it. I've already explained everything regarded how this program has faultered in its synthesis. The only questions I haven't answered are that: A. you can use the same credit/debit card you use to subscribe a new account, B. game cards from websites that deliver them instantly will work, C. the mount is heirloom and tradable between toons on the same account (and same faction if on a PvP server), and D. SOE's customer service doesn't have parallel standards in what they can afford you in providing a fix for this debacle. I have heard of people who have tried having the subscription transferred to their account after they hadn't followed this linear protocol for the promotion, but this was something I was unable to accomplish for my two invitees who had made "mistakes" in their sign-up. So far, TSRs (technical support representatives) have claimed they were going to move the subscription to new trial accounts that had been activated "properly", but they are still on trial status even though their trial "subscription" had been extended by 15 days. They can't even claim their rewards and it's been 2-3 days. Kiara, I hope you have enough initiative to confront those responsible and inform us of the results.

![]() We went through the process EXACTLY. I am getting the bonus XP in game when grouped with my friend. I liked the game and went and BOUGHT the full TSO Expansion for $40. I entered the code and updated to a full account. I then entered my credit card and continued to a full subscription. This was 4 days ago. Yet my friend who referred me HAS GOTTEN NO REWARDS. UNDER HIS ACCOUNT IT STILL SAYS I AM "TRYING GAME". THIS IS B.S. I HAVE BOUGHT THE FULL RETAIL FOR $40 AND ENTERED MY FULL APPROVED CREDIT CARD! WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS REWARDS??????????????????????

![]() In the case of folks whose friends have not yet received their rewards, please keep in mind that it can take up to a full billing cycle for them to apply to the account. It is affected by method of payment. As I've stated elsewhere, please keep an eye on when the payment posts to your account. If you have any issues, please contact CS to ensure that your accounts are properly linked. |

![]() Do you happen to know what the normal delay should be for game card subbing? I know the accounts are linked properly as I logged in and grouped and received the extra xp bonus etc. Has been 24 hours now since the sub was activated. |

![]() Update, one of the TSR's checked my account as everything was correct, stated that I should of received my rewards by now and he was going to contact platform support for more info as to why it hasn't shown. It does show now so there may of just been some extra delay in the system. Thanks TSR's for the great service. |

![]() One fill billing cycle = one month, that is correct. It really is based on the payment method and when the payment processes through our system. No one is trying to cheat on this, there's just a process that has to be followed. Once again, if you know that the payment has posted to your bank account, credit card, etc., please contact CS to ensure that your account is properly flagged. **Edit - I'm sorry, I do not know the usual time for a game card sub. |

![]() Well using live chat turned out to be a complete and utter waste of time, they just say i didnt set the account up properly and wont do anything about it,other than a vague promise to refund the account i used when, and only when i subscribe again. No thanks..this is an utter shambles paint it anyway you like and i'm now going to go for a nice cup of tea and see if i really want to carry on paying and playing this game. |

So my question is Kiara. Is that billing cycle you are talking about, the friends (newly invited) billing cycle or the inviter (sp?). Because I really don't see how it can be the friends, since I have seen that mount ingame already and this system just went live? If, somehow, it is the friends. Then basically what you are saying is, the friend has to pay for 2 months minimum for us (the inviters) to get our reward? Smells fishy to me. |

I just know what it says in black & white: "Terms & Conditions:Inviter must be a current or former EverQuest II subscriber in good standing. Within one (1) billing cycle of each invitee's conversion of a trial account to a paid monthly subscription, one (1) month of gameplay time (up to a maximum of twenty five (25) months) will be added to the end of the inviter's then-current subscription and Station Cash, Legends of Norrath booster packs and in-game items will be granted." If the person converted already, and has paid for the subscription (and it is already billed on their credit card)... What is the delay on the rewards? I have a pretty good comprehension as to what I am reading, and I would have to say if the written letter is not accurate someone needs to have a better comprehension as to what they are writing. Otherwise, as Muraazi so eloquently put it... Smells fishy to me. |

![]() Usually takes about 48 hours after their credit card has been billed. My friend paid on a thursday, I was gone for the weekend and when I got back I had my mount. It's just not instantaneous. |

![]() Everyone could do for there friends what I did, I bought game cards and made accounts subbed them and got the rewards, then gave the accounts to my friends as gifts. If they play GREAT, if not no loss as what I paid to sub them comes to me as free time. This is the best time to give the gift of everquest 2 if you ask me. |

![]() Hello all, I've just checked with CS about the account linking. They are currently unable to relink accounts. The recommended course of action is to restart the process and make sure to follow the instructions carefully (your recruited friend must click the link in the email to download the game) and folks will be refunded the cost for the account that didn't link correctly. We do apologize for the inconvenience with this. Please refer to this and follow the instructions exactly: If you haven’t received your in-game promotional rewards, please log in to your account management tool via www.station.sony.com and click the "recruit a friend." If it says “Invitation sent” and you are absolutely sure that your friend created an account and subscribed, then the incorrect link was used. Please review the following article that exactly describes the step-by-step process to correctly link up both accounts:
http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=20675 Once the account are linked you will see in your “recruit a friend” section of the account management tool on station.sony.com “Trying Game” or when they decided to subscribe right away on their new account “You have been rewarded.” Please have the prospect contact customer service for a refund of the subscription on the trial account that wasn’t linked up. |

![]() I recruited myself for a two-boxed account and so far I have the ability to call to the other character and I'm getting an experience bonus on them both, but, of course, no mounts yet. The problem is both characters are getting 200% experience bonus (which is nice!) plus 5% and 10% for being mentored on the new character, but I thought the "3x XP Boost" meant 300%. Is my math way off? Am I missing something? Thanks!

Thats what I thought at first and almost posted, then I realized it's an Additional 200% experience. Which means you get your normal experience (100%) and then 200% more, which will come out to you getting 3x experience. |
