Since there are a number of folks who don't know about this, figured we can get this sticky'd.

To join the game wide Monk channel, type "/join Crushbone.Allmonks"

The will add you to the chat channel that a good number of us long time monks have been using for months now.  Its a great place for information about quests and general banter about the nerfing of chicken strip meals.

Some common questions:

Q.  How can I see who is in the channel
A.  You can't really.  If you use the /whochannel command you'll only see the monks who are logged in to the channel from your server.

Q.  Why can't I see the links of items?
A.  Unless the person linking the item is from Crushbone, you won't be able to.

Q.  Why isn't anyone talking?
A.  Its possible that you mistyped the channel, however sometimes the channel gets quiet due to people being busy.  Other times its so spammy its hard to read. ;P

Keep in mind (to all the younger monklings and the more sensitive ones) that this channel is not always G/PG or even PG13. Some times we get a little carried away and forget how to act like monks.

Other than that, the channel can be a wealth of information, and a plethora of laughs. So come in, learn, and enjoy the antics of Gaige, Harp, Brice, Keena and a few other popular monks!!!

Something to add about links across servers.. make up an .allmonks channel on your home server SMILEY  It won't be the primary server, but if you have something, that someone else would like to see, then all they would have to do is type /join servername.allmonks. Of course, you won't always be in every .allmonks channel, but in times of "must see" links, it's not hard to type /join unrest.allmonks. P.S.  Feel free to join /unrest.ledbetter.  No, I won't answer you in it ("you" being Gaige.. heh j/k), but you will see me paste random waypoints and DPS into it, call it.. LedTV SMILEY

Not only does it still work, these two issues have been 'fixed'.  /whochannel works fine and lists everyone from all servers, and I've seen several out-of-server links on my ww channels that also worked fine.

Is the channel working?  I tried sending a few messages and nothing appeared in chat window and didn't get any sign anyone saw them.

Thanks
