![]() Normally I just make lots of lowbies, but having grown accustomed to Blistaire, a level 72 Fury, am trying to finally take someone to 80 - primarily to get the xp bonus on everyone else. Now, part of my time I mentor down to play with friends and pick up some AA, and xp crawls along but at least moves. When solo - well... Kunark kills me fairly easily, TSO even quicker, so I've gone back to Barren Sky for a couple spots. But I know thats short lived... What do folks do - just do Kunark and stay on the edges (its the adds that kill me, can survive one ok Just want some ideas...I pop around a bit and try things, but have a sneaky suspicion I'm going about this wrong. Thanks. |

![]() Questing. Even grey quests give AA and XP on completion. Barren Sky (60-70) has a good questline, and it's easy since furies can invis. So does Fallen Dynasty (55-65) and Loping Plains (60-70). If you haven't done them all, the questlines in Lesser Faydark (50-60) are lucrative. And have you done the Claymore questline?

![]() Some general advice - you may or may not already be doing these things. Be aware of your surroundings. Find an open spot near the mobs you want to fight and pull the mobs back to there. If the mobs you are killing are social, use proximity aggo to pull them and wait to cast until they are away from the other mobs. Use your group invis to find the right spot ahead of time if you can. These steps will go a long way to help you avoid adds. Specific to Furies, there are two techniques that work well for soloing RoK+, as the mobs generally hit too hard for an averagely geared Fury to stand toe to toe with them all the time. The first is to use a pet to tank for you via the Druid AGI line ability Charm Animal. The playstyle will likely be similar to a Summoner or Enchanter. The second is to invest points in the Fury tree root and snare AAs, and root nuke or snare kite the mob. Snare kiting was my favored technique since the snare has no chance to break on damage, though mixing in roots as well makes things easier. Both have a chance to be resisted every tick, though, so you want to make sure you have your Subjugation skill maxed out if you go this route. A lot of Druids let this skill lapse while they level up. With a good mix of spell crit and spell damage gear you can burn a mob down before it gets close enough to hit you, especially with EV up. With the in-combat run speed from the Fury tree Peerless Predator AA, and maybe the Druid WIS line if you have points to spare, it's easy to keep your distance. |

![]() I sank AA into boosting snares and roots for my fury, and mastered those spells as soon as I could afford to do so. Then I played root-and-nuke, basically. I'd cast the root, the snare, then nuke twice, then root, snare, etc.

![]() You can get the 72 leather armor gear for fury, if you don't already have, that will help. I did the root method too...just picked out my spots. I went right to Kylong plains, started on outskirts till, I could work my way in....not long though. |

![]() 4th ability in your int aa line will raise spells skills quite a bit, plus wis debuffer should make things go for you a lot better. Find the window that displays what spells your have running, it will have your snare and root icons pop up there when you have them cast upon a mob. If you notice, you'll see those icons slowly greying out representing the duration ticking down. Learn to watch them when you are soloing and instead of just recasting root or snare save them until duration is close to ending or one of them break. That way they'll be ready to cast when you need them. Recasting early is pointless because the chance of them breaking isn't affected by how long they been on a mob. Go ahead and finish out the kudzu line, with 3 in root and 5 in snare if you haven't already. When I solo I keep the camera zoomed as far back as possible and hold right click on mouse and constantly look around me. As long as you are watching your snare and root icons on your cast window you'll know if the mob your fighting is coming at your or not. This will help you control the fighting cause you can kite the mob and yourself out of the way of other mobs that may be approaching. |

![]() Thanks for all the input. Obviously I was a mix it up like a stupid tank type of fury, so that no work in Kylong. So, if I have to root and nuke (sorry, its sooo boring), max the crits, check, max the recast speed on Lightning...but the others are dot's no? So its just root/snare debuuf, and wait on lightning? Maybe there another non-dot damage that I just have gotten out of the habit of using.. Oh, and someone in an AA thread said - energy vortex allows you to solo some pretty big named heroics. I assume thats with the root-nuke strategy, and praying you dont run out of mana Thanks again. |
