So I did MC with some friends today to get 2 of their epic updates and they have never been in there.  So I was getting them all hyped up for the first named fight and how 'exciting' it is.  Clear the room, and explain how its done.  Ok, easy enough, try, try again...we all understand, lets do this...

We start fighting, get ported the first time and run back out.  Continue fighting, get ported about 3 seconds later and run back out.  Encounter ended...what happened?  Everyone is looking around...no named...nothing.  Confusingly, we look back into his room and up on his pedestal is a chest.  Everyone...including the new people were like [Removed for Content]...

Total fight time: 21 seconds.Total damage to Bi'lithu: 98822

Allies: (00:21) 98525 | 4691.67 [Wizard-Bolt of Ice-13070]Conjuror 44700 | 2128.57Wizard 23890 | 1137.62Paladin 16610 | 790.95Illusionist 13132 | 625.33Templar 193 | 9.19Warden 0 | 0.00

No huge nukes and nothing out of the ordinary.  Even though I haven't been in there in several months, I've done this zone a few dozen times and have never seen anything like it.  We didn't even get a chance to get started before it was over.

Fluke or is this what Big Ugly's been reduced to?

If he just up and died, and left a treasure chest behind, then that was a pretty strange glitch you encountered.

Got exactly the same while running Maiden's for guard epic last week. He just suddenly dropped by about 60%, died and left no chest. Clearly something fishy going on with it atm.

h'mmm this brings back memories of the time he did his aoe thing, and our group sat puzzled as he got pwned by the mobs from the bottom of the pit. it's quite possible this is what happened, especially if you didn't get a chest drop.

Same thing for my group about 2 weeks ago.  We went to maidens chamber for a guardian epic update, I've been in maidens several times, and we started the fight the pally hit it for 700 damage, the illusionist hit it for about 1k, it ported us, and died.

Half my group didn't even hit the mob. Was very strange.

Wow, this reminds me of the old EQ1 days when mobs would sometimes randomly "slash themselves" for 32000 damage and die.

Happend to me as well, after the first teleport we just found him dead where we were fighting him before the teleport. Noone in the group got the bomb either so i guess he just blew up himself if thats even posible...

Another time we just burned him down without getting teleported once. Might have been chain stunned or something.

Pretty sure the only mobs that did this were player pets and they would do it when the player was either dead or zoned/camped.  and only certain pets at that.

Out of curiousity we went and did this last night, didn't notice anything happening different than normal. Went ahead and finished the zone while we were there and got a Gift to the Queen for our chump healer for our trouble. Maybe now Horrendous can keep a guardian alive SMILEY

I did this zone again recently with 2 mythical'd people in the group, & Bi'lithu went down like a lead balloon. Teleported twice, but no big nukes, & dead so fast it wasn't even worth the fight.

I don't know if it was the two mythicals or what, but the fight was far easier than I've ever seen it before.

last three times in this happened with groups I was with.  No mythicals or anything.  One time half the group was sub 80.  As others said it looks like his own AoE is smacking him somehow.

Illusionist Spellshield?  % chance to reflect spell back on caster at a somewhat reduced amount.  (lvl 58 ability)  I haven't ever seen it happen on this fight with my Illy..but...maybe?

We had a Coercer in our group, but no Illy. Do Coercers also have that spell reflect thingie?

Nope, Coercers have nothing like that...

We took some guildmates through maidens on Tuesday night.

As it was the first run through for most of the group, and the 2 of us that had run it before hadnt been in since TSo launched, we where expecting the zone to be a challenge.

After spending some time explaining exactly what happens in the Bi'lithu encounter and warning the newer members that it would probably take a couple of attempts to take him down I was very surprised with the fight.

Cleared his room and pulled him. Within seconds he was down to 75% and ported us, before I even had time to move his health dropped down to 20% and he ported again, within a couple of seconds he was dead.

I had a parser running and none of the group even managed to get over 500dps SMILEY

We moved onto Sandstorm.

Again, explained the encounter and it seemed to go much, much smoother and easier than I would have expected.

The sisters seemed to be easier to.

The other encounters (including Drusella) seemed to be just as I remember

It would be hilarious if the logs said: Bi'lithu does 152,000 suicide damage to himself. Bi'lithu has killed Bi'lithu. Instead he just vanishes.

It did. *LOL*

I was in a group that tried to kill him last night, there were only 4 of us, and it killed 2 of the group members and while me and the other member were fighting away with it being probably around 70% or so and all of a sudden it poofed. I scrolled back at the damage and it said that Bi'lithu something nuke has hit Bi'lithu for 5,7XX,XXX damage.

It hit itself for almost 6 million HP!

I wish now that I'd gotten a screenshot. SMILEY

The zone has been nerfed to oblivion compared with when the zone was first introduced.

Last time I ran it (tanked) we did it start to finish in 7 mins. It was a fully mythical raid equiped grp tho.

How deep do you have to go to find a thread that hasn't been posted on for 8 mo's so that you can necro post it?

One thing I've had happen is that someone got ported, dropped into the Abbatoir and aggro'd the devourer that's down there. That mob then makes a bee-line straight for the named and chews him to pieces tout suite. I've seriously been tempted to pull him by just running at him, jumping down and taking the death and letting the other mob do our work for us.

Ahahaha!  Yah...I bet that happened to everyone else.

I remember that when it happened as I was in a group with my Warden.  I ran the wrong way, found the triple up wandering in the hall, turned around and ran back to the fight.  It followed me, then started to attack Bi'lithu.  It killed the named while we were trying to recover from a bad teleport/explosion.

When Jrral, myself, and guildees recently fought Bi'lithu, I fell into the room with the switch and where a triple up devourer sits.  It killed me since I was low from the explosion then it went up and killed Bi'lithu.

Thing is, Jrral you'd need to engage a little, one hit, so we'd get the chest, LoL!
