Hi there, so I just came back to EQ2 after about a 6 month break... I had the extended character slots before but not now... so only 6 of my toons appeared available NOT INCLUDING my 80 decked out uber brigand... I attempted deleting a couple trash toons to make room or something and still no refresh on the character list it says I only have 3 characters... PLEASE if anyone has gone through this or knows how to fix it HELP ME!!!! Thanks.

Log in to any character on your account and type /camp [your brigands name here]

That isnt working... I am gonna call SOE and figure it out once their lines open tomorrow... Still if anyone knows a quick fix to this let me know!

Are you looking in the right region - i.e. US or EU (settable on the EULA screen), you wont see your US characters whilst logged into the EU region and vice versa.

Edit: there are other regions as well, but the US and EU tend to be ones youre more likely to have gone to unless you want one of the other language servers.

When you signed up again did you get a station account again, if not your character selection will be reduced I believe.

Sounds like you had station access, in which case only your 7 most recently played characters will show. As far as I understand, the character is still on the account, but you can't access them until you pay for station access again (or possibly by deleting some of the others--but I'm not certain about this so don't do that!!!). I definitely recommend petitioning to see if someone can get your chars shuffled around.

He says he deleted enough chars that he' down to 3, so it can't be this problem.

It would make no sense for my most played character with over 150 days play time to be missing from my account as i never give out my password etc... its just some kind of bug im sure and when the phone lines open ill get it as straight as possible... for sony's sake i hope he isnt deleted..

I would also like to mention my station access i DID have... I didnt have it when i reinstated my account but I just got it again to see if that was the problem nessecarily and still no go.... My 80 Brigand is still showing up in the eq2players database and on my character list on the launch screen... just not on my character select screen... So im prety sure its just some god forsaken bug causing all of this..

Sounds like you need to petition this.  Get someone in customer service to help you out, they can research your toon and figure out what happened to it.

worst comes to worst ill just get it back on my account for being maliciously deleted... I think this would count since it wouldnt have been user deleted? lol

Well they even will bring them back if you delete them yourself... so its not a big thing.. just getting through to them and actually getting a response is your biggest problem.. There's a LON tourny soon, so all hands are on deck for that... nothing else can be done in the 3 - 4 weeks before during and after a LON event... so just be aware of that ...

I think that they allow a one time restore, but they can only go back so far SMILEY

Well we all have to love the fact that SOE takes AGES to do anything... Slow customer service is probably a factor in why this game is fading... but on a lighter note my character should still be in their database as he couldnt have been deleted more than 2 months ago if he is even really deleted... we will probably not know for a long while because SOE IS SOOOOOOOOOO SLOW! Hire more people you cheap company...

If you called them, that is probably why.

The "propper" thing to do in your situation is to /petition it in game. Have seen issues like this resolved in less than an hour in the past.

SoE CS is not 24/7.

i've read it selects the 7 most recently used characters...

what you could do is get all access pass... delete down to 7 and then switch back to eq2 sub.

I would have done that if I'd have more than 7 chars and moved back to eq2 sub.

CS should be able to help you though so don't fret...as long that is the correct account. the char should still be there.
