Character Name-Not sure where to put this question.

I've been looking for something/someone to tell me if it's possible to have a name of a character changed. I've not been able to locate an answer anywhere-so maybe someone out there can give me an answer.

I understand that it might not be changeable for "stupid reasons" But if it's a good reason, is it an option?

Generally name changes are frowned upon because of reputations. If you dig yourself into a hole and people don't trust you, you should not be given free passes to get out of that. Because of that reason name changes are not viable.

normally if it violates the naming rules as they are set forth in the KB/EULA then a GM can change it.

Always the server swap option... Swap to a server that has a charachter with the same name (one of your alts) and then swap back!

there isnt a paid name change perse...

i got mine changed because my account was jacked and the toon moved a number of times and the name associated with it had a stigma... apparently the person involved wasnt very popular.

they CAN change it, but generally dont.

best bet is to change servers then change back with that name taken.

-There is no paid name change for EQ2-There are a couple ways to change your name: - Somehow prove to SOE that your current name violates their policy - Transfer to a server with your chars name, you'll get to choose a new one, then transfer back to your old server.

Transferring will cost 50$ each way though.
