OK, I am ordering an upgrade for my video card and am eyeballing 2 different cards. So I thought I would see if any of you are using either of these cards.
I am currently running a GeForce 7900 GS btw. Choices XFX GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - $170.00 XFX GeForce 9600 GT XXX Alpha Dog Eddition 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail - $120.00 I am leaning towards the 9800, but wanted to see if anyone has either of these, and if they do how they like it. |

![]() Radeon 4850 is where you currently get the most for your money. if you do insist on staying with nvidia, go for the 9800GTX+. |

![]() Perfomance wise. the 9800gtx+ ad 4850 are pretty much dead even overall. If you dont have a big case, the 9800gtx+ may be a possible problem because, if i recall correctly, its a dual slot design whereas that 4850 is single slot (meaning the 9800 is "thicker" Right now I think the prices are pretty much even between the two as well, so it really comes down to personal preference, you like ATI or Nvidia?

![]() Given the previous issues with some nvidia cards recently, and the general feeling in the market that the 4850/4870 cards have taken ati back to the top on performance/value, I chose the 4850 over the geforce range this time. In practice, the 4850 runs eq2 superbly. Really, I got one a couple of weeks ago and its just a dream, not a glitch and lovely performance. Shaun |

That makes me sad to see how cheap they have gotten. When I got my card >> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814130317 << It was around $600
