I bet a lot of people saw this door when they were in the zone but never gave it any thought since.

The one door at the very botom of Wailing Caves. Been there since launch and still it won't open for anything.

There's also a door in Greater Faydark. In the Fayflies area. Doesn't do anything.

That I can answer, sortof. I was told that Vyemm was originaly supposed to imprison players in your raid and either during the fight or after you would click the door to let them out. The scripting never worked right so it was never implimented, yet the gate still remains clickable.

The door near the fayflies is used in the last Marr quest.

What about the door up at the top of Nek Forest with the efreeti in front of it?

Wasn't that originally going to take you to Lavastorm after completing an access quest? I seem to recall something along those lines.

Yeah that was originally Lavastorm's access point... Probably before they decided to make Lavastorm an island in itself.

Have they done anything with the door in Nek Forest guarded by the Keeper of Secrets?

While on the subject of doors, anyone know what the door in Stormhold is for?  The first one on the left in the first main hall you come too.  I saw someone come out of it once.

Regards.

I think that actually is an instance in the Sword of Destiny timeline... during the 'A Crusade to Faydwer' quest you have to zone in there and kill Lord Ree.  Its been awhile since I've done it, but I believe thats the door you're talking about.

Negative good sir. Lord Ree is about 100 meters before the door in question. Although Lord Ree's door does not open unless he is up....which is odd, only contested named I've seen where you cannot even enter his room unless he is there.

On the note of Lord Ree, defeated him and took the exit route and couldn't find the way back for the exit door.

I guess they kept it well hidden, I'll pay more attention when I leave his room..think it should be somewhere between "That Door" and the hallway to Lord Ree.

Try walking backward and zoom your camera out, you will see you actualy walk right through a false wall, but you cannot walk back.

That explains everything then! Thanks!

Reminds me of false walls in the dungeons of EQ1.

This always bothered me -- it seems like it should be important.  Now it is like that big empty castle in the field of bone -- imposing but hollow.

That's the locked door on the first level of Befallen, from when Stormhold was originally Befallen.

Not really a guru on EQ lore, but from what I read and your post it was a door to befallen.

''Befallen's entrance was sealed after Lucan used the dungeon to trap the Knights of Truth within it. Perhaps someday another entrance will be found. I for one would love to revisit that place.''

So the door serves no purpose, maybe I was seeing things when I saw someone come out of it.

I will dig a little deeper with the forums and see what I can find, but thanks for the information.

 Regards.
