It is posted in the Guild Hall feedback thread. Unfortunately the forum links directly to dev posts from the dev tracker only seem to work about 50% of the time for me. Here's the link I get, his post is either at the bottom of this page or on the next page depending on your settings. Edit: oh for crying out loud, stupid html and links... I can't get the post to link properly, sorry. Look up Zol's post in the dev tracker at the top of the main forum page and you should be able to find it.

Is this crafted only or quest items, too? I love the Fires of X house items, but they are HUGE and kind of unwieldy. Would love to be able to scale those down to a more manageable size.

![]() This is fantastic. No more having to build a step stool so my SK Gnome can use her bone throne.... I mean do you know how hard it is to look aweful and intimidating, when you have to cclimb and crawl onto your chair? This will also be wonderful for those rare Ogre safes who want to curl up with a book, a house-cat and a fireplace for the evening, but can't fit even on foot in the Halfing sized rocking chair. Hmm, wonder if housepets will scale too? Giant Sphynx pets, puppy sized hell-hounds, hmmm! |

I spent a good part of last night imagining all sorts of things I could do ... larger rugs to cover floors, resize those dividers so they actually fit the space I need them for, larger (or smaller!) shrubberies... this is going to revolutionize decorating! Now the most important question.... WHEN?!?

![]() I love this idea.. I just wonder how badly the texture on some items is going to distort as they size up. I know some of them were a bit low res to start with (and I run around with textures set very highly) But this could be a way to carpet rooms and really reduce item count!! And here I was *THIS* close to finishing the three houses I have been working on for forever. Is there any kind of eta? I do like the possibility of oh.. chairs resizing when someone tries to sit in them. HMMMMM. Could this be a doorway to solving the problem? *crosses all her fingers and toes* |

Now the most important question.... WHEN?!? It will help with the item count too. You can have one rug in place of 4 or 8 - but I've grown fond of my many rugs with different patterns all blending to give a nice overall effect. Ah well. I'd be happy to trade in the 8-12 planters I have in the attic dirt patch for 1 or two. Wow. I can just hear the item count go down. Now I can set the table with wine glasses and coffee cups. |

![]() I'm thinking... lofts! OMG! I have 10 Sathirian rugs and I forget how manay damask carpets forming the loft for my bruiser's training facility. With this, I could resize those damask carpets and save some housing slots... and possibly the sathirian rugs to to save a little more.... resize one of the sandalwood platforms that the bar sits on to save some more space... Oh the things I could resize! Then I might actually be able to do something with that 5th room that's currently empty cause I only have All those carpets just to hide the non-textured bottoms of the Sathirian rugs... |

According to the other thread ther will be limits on scaling, the formatting is messed up but you get the idea....Zoltaroth wrote:
Snowdonia@Runnyeye wrote: Zoltaroth, Quick question about the scaling. Will there be a set limit for each piece or is the sky the limit no matter whether you're scaling an item for a residence or a guild hall? I ask because I can think of some uses for extremely large versions of items in a residence but if there is a limit to how big something can get (whether it be because of the type of item or because its in a residence as opposed to a guild hall) those ideas might be need to be scrapped now. There are default limits set which are the same for every item, however they can be overriden for specific items. But that is most likely up to Domino for which items will get larger or smaller ranges. |

I'm..... actually not excited about this. Despite being a carpenter who should be looking towards the market for opportunities to use this change to my advantage, I honestly don't care.

I, on the other hand, am doing cartwheels! Go devs on this one! It nearly makes up for the overwhelming case of advanced sticker shock on the guildhall upkeep that has most of my guild members lying feebly on the floor and twitching every once in a while. |

Heh, this is funny. I remember chatting with Domino at some point about this very thing a couple months ago, and she said she was doubtful it could be made to work. I'm thrilled to see that someone's found a way. The possibilities are indeed endless.I for one will be putting a little cup of differently colored little candy canes on my Provie's serving counter like I've always wanted but could never quite manage to get to look right because they're too big. Let's see... What else... Oh my... This really opens up lots of possiblities. My mind reels with them. Now if only they could find a way to give every chair in the game the collision frame of a simple stool so we could sit in chairs sorta... Oh, and tilting floor and ceiling house items on all three axis! /crossfingers
