![]() I'd really like to see alot more real quests added to the 55-70 range. A lot of the quests in that area are HQs, long heroic quests, or just repeatable quests. Really it would be nice to see a bunch of the old quests give exp/money for talking to the different people you need to. Sometimes you'll do 5 parts of a quest and not get any exp/money/loot. Kunark does a fantastic job with quests that it would be really nice to see something like exp added in the different parts of old quests. That would probably be an easier fix than making a bunch of new quests. More questlines and quests would be great for the 55 - 70 range but really an update on a bunch of old quests would really help ease the pain of playing that other toon through again. I think some (not all) of the contested dungeons should be turned into an instanced zone instead. The thing I'd really like to see done though is an arena revamp. Maybe not so much a revamp even, but functionality to it. It is almost completely unused as is. There are nice maps and it has powerups and what not to create an old school feel, but it's terrible to get anything going. Creating a way to get in queue for it and having the game pair us up would be awesome. Creating a room to play in is soooooo old - people want match making done for them. Could just have a pvp queue screen or talk to somebody to queue up. Something would be nice to give some pvp flare to something that is already available on all servers but completely empty and unused. Cross server match making would be awesome. EQ2 is awesome and I love the direction it is going, but some old features really need an update. I think this feature is severely overlooked and almost completely forgotten about because it is so hard to use. |

![]() Master drop rates master drop rates master drop rates Seriously, lets say you have all your aas and you've gotten all you wanted out of ROK instance zones. You play to improve your character, you've done all the quests that have rewards you want. You raid, 5 nights a week, and the two items in t1-t3 you still want NEVER drop, even though youve done these zones each week since december. You farm VP every week, and you never get your set pieces. Yeah, Mythical done. Got some cool jewelry. still wear gimpish armor that never seemed that much better to you than your t7 fabled set. Only raid mobs left are trakanon, byoza and there are 30 other toons in your raid force that want the stuff they drop, too. You check the broker every day, and there IS NOTHING worth buying. you have all the masters that are listed there for your class. And RE2 and Kanors castle are just to cheap with the master drops. And we wonder why great raiding guilds are falling apart? apparent futility. investment of time with NO reward but the commeraderie of your guildies that remain. |

I'd like the provisioning trade skill to allow you to create larger amounts of items at once. Such as, the minimum amount being 5 or six, instead of one. While the trade skill system is fun for things like carpentry, where you only need one or two at a time, going through the motions twenty times to get 20 food and drink is nauseating enough for me to finally create an account on the message board. I can't imagine actually being a provisioner and still having time to use that food and drink. It would be nice to, at the higher end per tier, be able to make a 20-or-so-stack after going through the crafting dialog once or twice; increase the ingredient requirement, or give an option to increase the ingredient requirement with the penalty of a slightly more difficult process. I love the crafting system, but it just gets odious during provisioning.

Would like to see Ranger's become useful in raids. Tired of getting stupid a$$ comments that say " You are awesome...at ranged.". Well its too bad that our DPS still isnt "awesome" compared to some classes that offer a lot more to a raid than a Ranger. Make out hate decrease a transfer or something. No top end raiding guilds want or need a Ranger because we are basically useless. Been super close to quiting EQ2 all together for about a month now. Probably gonna fall on deaf ears but it does not matter, I can put $20 bucks a month towards something else. Great game, been playing for a long time and would hate to quit but there really is not a reason to play when you are not wanted in groups or raids because the class offers nothing beneficial to it.

I have to agree with the ranger post above....my ranger has great ranged dps. It's strange to join a group and everyone is buffing the group and others, and as a ranger you just stand there because you have absolutely nothing to offer to help out anyone in the group....seem kinda selfish or self-centered as a toon. Would be nice to have some utility to offer groups so that rangers would be seen as a benefit. Perhaps a buff to impove range damage of group members...since range is the ranger's forte.

I would love to see some changes made to housing. How about more windows with actual sunlight filtering through. Some of the two-room inns have square windows that give off no sunlight. This defeats the purpose of having windows in the room. Some of the houses in Kelethin have no windows. I'm sure windows could be "carved" into those acorns that would give off lots of sunlight!. Some of the houses in Qeynos have only two windows upstairs that give off a little sunlight. How about adding bigger windows both upstairs and downstairs! How about more floor plans for different houses. More "wallpaper choices" for wall/ floor/ceiling etc. Balconies would be wonderful! How nice to sip a morning coffee while standing on one's balcony admiring the view! Just my little wish list!

The ability to sit in a chair. It seems like such a little issue but it adds tremendously to RPing.More social animations. ((SWG does have you beat here, or rather, the ONLY area SWG has you beat.)) Choices of dances, choices of bows, hug animation, kiss animation, shaking hands, etc..More variation in armor, robes and clothing. Many of the images on official websites here display armor and clothing that look very nice but do not exist in game.Increase limit of items in houses.I doubt this one is possible, but the ability to drop items in houses for display, or simply to store the item for later use. For example, in a hurry to meet a group but inventory is full. Stop at the house and dump stuff. Another example, a sword or shield would look really good on this wall but can't.Purchase items off of the broker in your house. All NPC's used to have voices that seemed to fit, even if it was just saying hello. Since December or January, most now use the same voice file ((Sounds like the gargled with gravel)).Create a zone for the castle itself in Qeynos ((Don't know if Freeport is the same way)). Can add quest givers for city faction, not just the city writs for the four guild factions. Can also add a faction system for the Qeynos court, and the same for Freeport. In this way, players could literally carry out quests for nobility and the Queen herself, or the Overlord himself. Prefix titles could also be tied into this court faction timeline, or perhaps when players are purchasing titles from city merchants, they are sent to the castle to be dubbed the title by a noble NPC.Just a few ideas. At any rate, a very grateful thank you for being so involved with us in sharing ideas, and actually listening. All of you on the dev team have done an outstanding job.

![]() How about climbable walls for housing. Rock walls thats you can install in house to climb up. Many houses have vaulted ceilings but you have to stack stuff oddly to get it to a level you can climb to mount something at the level it will allow. Give us a way to open and close all slots in house vaults. How about some additional textures for customizing walls, ceilings, floors, lighting colors, etc. But back to what really bugs me... Riding the *%^&&^$ boat in butcher block until you think your eyes are going to bleed, then it finally zones only to take just as long to load the next zone.I am all for content realizm, but making me wait for a boat then making me wait for it to leave, then making me wait for it to zone out, then making me wait for it to zone in, then making me wait for it to dock... but hey I can gamble while I wait in most cases. Although, this is psuedo gambling since there is no real payoff unless you are the guy on GUK that won 666pp. Where is he? I wanna borrow some coin. |

![]() Would really like to see some soloable instances that have the same chance of dropping legendary and fabled loot as CoA, VoE, RE2 and the like. Since when does everything have to be solo quest or group instances. Give me something tough I can solo with a chance of decent loot. |

It doesn't even matter to me if all the ingredients and fuel where proportionately increased (i.e. double ingredients and fuel would make 4 food/drink items instead of 2)... I can't even imagine crafting food/drink for profit, I can't even keep up with all my alts, let alone guildies and friends = ... just takes too much time. |

One thing that has bugged me is about the players website. Profiles, stats, guild info, and statistics like kill-to-death ratio use to update consistently within a day, but updates have become more and more rare. The web page doesn't even recognize the existence of alts I've had for over a week, as well as not allowing me to guild chat unless the character has been in a guild for a week or sometimes more. Might these updates be more often in the future? I don't feel like I'm getting the money's worth out of advanced character profiles and stats and the like anymore.

![]() I enjoy doing crafting writs and adventuring writs and I love what they do for my guild, BUT I have to work very hard "grinding" to get faction then the rewards are so few. In Qeynos for 20,000 crafting faction there is a title earned and an ornate collection box that looks like several music boxes I already own. I would like something special for my home for the work I have done. Here are some suggestions: Look around the existing pieces in the game that are not already furniture items. I love the winged chairs in the Palace of the Awakened. I would like the rewards from each crafting society to be shared. thank you Abionna |

I have a provis, and I just accepted it it how it is now with 2 at a time because I was a provis from day 1 and capped level before the TS revamp when it took 6 pristine combines to make ONE 5 hour drink. People have suggested tons of times to have more rare provis food & drinks that take a rare root but make 10-20 at a time like ambrosia. It would be nice.

Trying to get around in Gorowyn.....it has to be the MOST frustrating city ever to find and get to places. Couldn't these creatures be a little more organized and make in city transportation a little easier?

I know this is rather a simple request, but I did alot of work for my Mark(moa) and would like to be able to display it and be able to wear the better neck pieces in the game. I believe there should be fluff armor slots for all items that show a graphic. Sappheria

What bugs me the most is that when a broken quest or area is eventually fixed, it so often is not mentioned ANYWHERE letalone in the update notes. It is at the point now where we just have to attempt broken quests over and over 'in case' they have been fixed. And no one knows what is a bug, and what is quest design anymore

![]() I don't know if there's a more appropriate place to add my 2cp, so I'm throwing it here. I retired from mmorpgs back in 2005 (which thus far had "mostly" consisted of EQ and EQ2), just didn't have enough time on my hands to keep up, but now I've found my free time again and finally gave in to the urge. Last weekend I was finally talked into trying WoW by a large amount of pestering from several coworkers. I played for a week before acknowledging that the game was indeed fun, but doesn't hold a candle to EQ2. I spent a day downloading all the files back, but I was able to recover my old account (thank you SOE!) and was good to go last Thursday, and I couldn't have been more eager. I decided to create a new toon just to get myself familiar with the game again and also because the newbie experience on the ship and having to decide between good and evil and following through with citizenship and eventually class heirarchy was such a unique and engrossing experience that I just had to do it again. Imagine my surprise when I started afresh and found that everything that made EQ2 unique and special had been stripped away and made WoW-like. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the changes are really helpful, and I still would take EQ2 over WoW any day. Granted I wasn't around and don't know the circumstances of these changes, I just wanted to give my long-winded explaination of my perspective of these changes as a "new old" player as I ask if there's any way we could have those celebrated differences returned. I realize they were probably lost in an effort to streamline the journey to end-game, but if I had the option, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. My suggestion would be to create a "Newbie" server that allows the players to go through the entire Original EQ2 experience from the start, I'd go so far as to say leaving off all the expansions as well, just so brand new players aren't overwhelmed with trying to play catch up on all the Lore as well as familiarizing themselves with the game itself, then offer them a one-time free transfer to another server once they feel up to speed. This would be a great server to encourage the Guide program to grow on (if it even still exists?) to help newbies and answer all their questions. Again, I apologize if there are other posts out there that address this and it's been hashed out fully already. Oh, and can the 5th year anniversary title be the prefix "Old as Dirt"? |

![]() As much as i like the RoK expansion there were some definate things i didnt like about it. Mabye this has been mentioned before but certain zones just wernt done right in my opinion. I know its not to look exactly like EQ1 did but it really bugs me how Jarath Wastes turned out. If JW is a combination of the old Skyfire mountains and The Overthere then why is the shipyard and the ocean on the bottom of the zone when you zone in from kylong plains you used to have to travel south from the shipyard to get to howling stones now the mapped is flipped and the compass is oppisite of how it should be or at least how it was in the original geography. And in Fens of Nathsar why is the Nurga mines north of where cabilis used to be i seemed to remember having to walk a ways from cabilis to get to nurga and droga. It certianly wasnt in the same zone with Kurns Tower. Youd think it shouldve been more by JW where the Overthere and Frontier Mountains used to be . I didnt expect RoK to be exactly like EQ1 but a little better consistancy wouldve been nice . Im Aabari Poxbringer and i approved this message |

I have to vote for the lack of multi core CPU and multi GPU support to be the biggest gripe with EQ2. Having spent tons of money into my rig and not being able to use it's power in the game I play the most really bugs me.As a programmer I know changing the core functionality of the game wont be easy. But it is doable. Why spend all the time on cool graphics and spell effects when half the time I don't see them cause I can't afford to have any graphical lag.

Last run speed upgrade spell was level 41 - Selo's Acclerating Chorus Dirges had 46%(w/AA) in T5, T6 no upgrade, T7 no upgrade, T8 no upgrade again. Bards should be fastest sustained(no temporary speed increasers) movers out there hands down. I mean the fastest i can get sustained is 56% w/jboots whereas Wardens for example can get, depending on race, 70%, 70%! In EQ1 i had a bard that could cross Western Karana in about 2 minutes....IIRC. If you played EQ1 and had to run across this zone, 2 min is sweet. lol So speeds in the 65%+ range is not a game breaker, give bards a quest to do that can increase it even more or add +% to Selo's when quest is done or heck even an upgrade....4 expansions and nothing. |

The biggest thing for me would be optimization, putting more work on the GPU. When I upgraded my graphics card from a 6000 series nVidia to a 7900GTX, I saw little improvement in this game, but huge improvements in every other game i regularly play, from other MMO's to FPS's. This game shouldn't be so demanding on my processor when I have a graphics card for making things pretty. The second biggest thing would be more choices when creating a character, more clothing options/looks. I'm sick of green. Every darned thing is green. My girlfriend spends hours customizing her characters, it's the best part of the game for her, she might get a fae to level 6 before saying "i wanna go back and try those other wings." The only times she ever quits the game are when she gets tired of making new characters. Even a few new hair options would drive her into a few more months. The first is much more important to me, but either addition/change would keep both of us around much longer. We're still on edge about whether we're resubbing at the end of the month.

I thought that was already available as Magic Makeover or somethign you can purchase from a "Barber". Oh and +1 on putting particle and shadow rendering on the GPU over CPU. I've seen the game running on the NVidia 280GTX, the successor to my 9800GX2, and, Im sorry but the framerate is killing the playablilty for me on BOTH of those cards. Turn the graphics down and I feel like Im playing EQ1 before any expansions, but good framerate but not enjoyable. Really, look at the other ratehr popular MMO's, WoW and Age of Conan, my box has been able to run those at a solid 60 fps, and although Conan is brand new, even with everything turned ALL the way up, it still runs awesome. I just want 60 fps with everythign turned all the way up, and although I know it is a LOT of work for you, I dont think it is that much to ask from a players perspective. This will be the third or fourth time I've mentioned it but personally I would put getting us better framerates as TOP PRIORITY over any other known and to be discovered bugs and glitches that are not security related or "critical" (critical means like a bug that deletes items from characters inventory, the character themselves, and nothing less than that) |

An engine overhaul to give better fps would benefit everyone. Im sure you'd see an increased framerate and probably be able to turn up your graphics a notch (well not texture resolution) but just make the game look purdier and smoother for everyone.
