A couple questions for ya.1. When I played in 04 you could craft items and get pristine or get lesser versions. A pristine elmbox for example had 8  slots while a lower version would have less. It seems now you either get the pristine or you get some mats back.I either fail to make it or I make it pristine. Is that that way all crafting is now?  Or am i missing something.2.are items like stroma wash and eolith temper needed for anything anymore? they used to be for subcombines i think and I have a bank full of them. Wanted to know if they are still used, cause if not i could use the bank slots.

not too long ago, they took out non-pristine items since no one every wanted them.Outside of tinkering, I don't think any crafting class creates non-pristine items any more.

1. No pristines, you get it or you don't. The nice part is getting your rare back if you don't. Provisioners are the exception, where you get 2 items for the 'pristine' combine, and one if not.

2. The tempers and washes aren't needed anymore, but if you check the alternate ingredients tab you might still be able to use them. I haven't tried in a while but I know that was in for a long time after they were removed from the recipes.

You also get xp too, even if you mess it up. And anyway, once you get the hang of crafting everything comes out pristine so I think it's better now than the way it was.
