Hi so I'm finally coming back to EQ2 after a long hiatus, I've played bruiser before found the class fun but couldn't deal with the stigma against it, rolled a dirge and just didn't like it so now I come to make a healer.I'm trying to look for something that will be good in raids and the ones I'm looking between is: Templar, Inquisitor, and Defiler. Any help in my decision would be very much appreciated.

![]() If you just start him, it will take some time before you hit 80 and before you can raid, so what is good now may not be good anymore in two or three months. defilers are fun, they are awesome in groups and have a descent dps, I think but I took the Int line for more spell crit. Problem is we have lots of DOTs. but have a SK, a necro and you, and with all the noxious debuff, the dps can be fine :p. Solo is long but safe. you ward yourself first then attack and with OH you can kill it if it's not to tough without casting another ward. But I'm just lvl 44. Inquisitor can spec as battle priest and change their dd spell by CA and so they can be good soloers. Plus, plate is good but expensive. anyway chain is also expensive. But inquisitors are one of the more offensive healer so you can have fun with it. Templars are great healers but are not good soloers, too slow. Better look for a tank or dps to play with :p. But I don't like templars, I prefer druids and shamans. just try them a little bit and see which one you like best. I think inquisitors can be awesome in group and solo. |

Inquisitors are decent soloers, and if you choose, you can always betray to templar for a MT group spot. Plus, you can even tank in a pinch. I've been in some PUGs where I've gotten agro on my inquis... and found he was better at tanking than the MT.Defilers are a great class in groups/raids because of the way they spend both power + hp (as opposed to mystic power). Downside is that a defiler is tough to solo. However, you can always roll a mystic and betray when you start raiding. Mystics also have CA strikes like inquisitors which help solo DPS out a lot.

fury if you like direct healing + you sometimes get dps slots in raids or templar if you want a healing spot and heal the damage as it happens
