I only crash with my 4 GB of RAM when I play on Very High Settings, it doesn't happen on High Settings (only in Neriak I run out of memory even on High Settings). So SOE just doesn't want you to enjoy the game with all its beauty. Lower your settings and it should work.

![]() Thats not really my problem either...yes it does instantly crash in Neriak. But I can put every single graphic option at lowest setting and I still crash. It takes longer to crash...but it still crashes. |

Using 64 bit windows? If not, did you add the /3GB setting in your boot.ini? Do you have shadows on? or Off....Textures for world on Maximum? Check these out...as my crashes are completely gone after this patch, but you gotta put a bit of work inGood luck

![]() when you use the /3GB switch, your reducing the kernel virtual available to 1gig. PCI-e cards can/will eat this up quick. try adding a couple additional boot options to your .ini to test out and see if it fixes your crashes. keep your standard /3GB switch boot option you currently use and add 2 more lines with this at the end of the line. This method is only for XP and server. There is a different variable for Vista called /increaseUserVa which is the same thing. /3GB /Userva=2900 /3GB /Userva=3030 this will give your kernel more memory to handle loading in drivers. just make sure you change the windows version in quotes so you'll know what instance your booting into example: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows (insert ver. here) 3GB 2900" multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows (insert ver. here) 3GB 3030" Try the 2900 option first and see if it fixes the crashes. If not try the 3030 option. If one of those options works, just get rid of the ones that dont work. if you're using vista do some research on the boot.ini variable. Try looking for "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072". This is what I found for this but I suggest you do your own research: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Vista To SET the 3GB switch in 32-bit VISTA, do the following: 1) Right-click 'Command Prompt -- Start > Accessories > Command Prompt 2) Choose 'Run as Administrator' 3) Type "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072" and press [Enter] 4) Restart the computer To REMOVE the 3GB switch in 32-bit VISTA, do the following: 1) Right-click 'Command Prompt -- Start > Accessories > Command Prompt 2) Choose 'Run as Administrator' 3) Type "bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa" and press [Enter] 4) Restart the computer |

I have to admit that these memory threads have me paranoid now. I currently have 2GB (4x512) in my machine and I ordered 4GB (4x1GB) yesterday. It has been delivered and I was planning on tossing it into the machine tonight. After reading all these issues in the support forum concerning having, what seems to me, too much memory I think I may have wasted $100. Kinda odd to hear that...too much memory. heh
