Greetings..I am out for some general advice/tricks to use against group's with templer and a good deal of their own CC in it.During the duration of sanctuary i would guess the best bet is to try and ride it out as best as possible right ?Or is there a way to dispell sanc ?Furthermore is it really neccesary to stack up on vessel, bristlebane''Sucks to resort to god abilities in general imho'', bracleet of impetous motion "If healer'' and what ever is out there interms of giving some sort of immunity to CC just to survive against a group using nothing but their standard spells/abilities??Ofcource there are the standard freedom/action pots but they can only take you so far and are on a long and shared recast timer. Also if you stack up on alot of those items ''Wich i allready have done'' you end up with a ton of cooldowns on crucial abilities meaning you wont be able to take on a second fight for a good amount of time if they have that setup.I play freeport so the option to just get my own pocket templer is sadly not an option SMILEY<img src=" />Hoping for some good advice, and no i am not asking for a nerf on sanc or anything like that SMILEY<img src=" /> just a dude trying to figure out my options when going against sanctuary and heavy CC..Cheers all

SK's can dispell sanctuary. Really sucks to not have it, I'd have to suggest freedom pots as your only hope against a lot of CC. Freedom of mind and quick cures from healers. Honestly, the only thing I consider to be unfair to either city is the lack of templars in freeport. =

Unfortunately sony's pvp designers (sounds like an oxymoron) have made it so a healer can only cure 1 effect every 10 seconds..... STUPIDS

Charm Templar ftw.  Troub or Coercer's AA WIS line charm (not their spell charm, as the cast time is way too long).Enjoy

Did you run into a group consisting of mostly Overseers? Consisting of exactly Warden, Troubadour, Guardian, Templar, Illusionist, and 1 random DPS class? They are good! Know how to stop them? I do!Some or all of these are great tactics to use against ANY group. But for the specifics of your question we will use the "B" group in question:
  • Charm the Templar
  • Stifle the Templar
  • Mez the Templar
  • Stun the Templar
  • Port and root the Templar
If none of those 5 are effective then consider the following:
  • Did you charge the group quickly, allowing for minimal time for them to pre-target you and  figure out your groups weakness?
  • Did you go full offensive of the snap and have your entire group attempt to burn one target right away?
  • Did your group use /assist macros to thier full potential?
  • Did you roll in a stacked group as well or were you simply a pick up group?
  • Did you use Ventrilo or some other form of 3rd party voice communication?
If you are still having trouble I suggest the following:
  • Evac from them the second they appear on track and find a different zone to PvP in. (See reference in: How to Safe Your Title)
  • Fight them near a revive point so you can revive easily and re-engage. (See Qeynos Tactics 101: The Undying Group)
  • Fight near docks or Sokokar posts so others may engage and assist. (See Freeport Tactics 101: The Unraided x2)
  • Exile and obtain Mythical weaponry. (See Kraken or Onyx recruiting page)
  • Betray to Qeynos and join them, best way not to have to fight them. (See Swisha's Adventures in T6)
Happy Hunting Mate!

  • I'm guessing that tac can only work against the more casual pvp groups out there.

  • HAHA SMILEY<img src=" /> I hope  we dont have to pick our options from any of the above 5 suggestions ..
Happy Hunting Mate!
Thx for the advice guys..I hope we can have some more idea/suggestions before this thread vanishes among the other threads..Cheers all

Answer to sanctuary....SnickerNo really, snicker the templarSnicker0.25 second casting time to dispel 179 levels of Divine spells.  Templars cast a bit slow, so you should catch sanctuary in the dispel.A good brigand will snicker the templar and dispel Sanctuary as  the start of a fight, but most brigands are useless nubs who don't have snicker hotkeyed or even know how to play their class beyond stun locking & ganking people.
