![]() I'll make this short and sweet. I finally got the wife to start playing and we rolled a monk and fury, I want to add a two box in for me so we can play with three toons. What do you all think would be the best complimentary toon a dirge? Illusionist? Or dps class such as conj wiz? Thanks for your advise .. |

![]() Does it have to be good aligned? If not, a coercer gives crowd control, mana regen, melee DPS and hate gain for the monk, and (up to 16%) heal crits and 15% heal bonus to the fury. The coercer could also use a pet, by dropping one of his two 'normal' buffs and still giving the monk up to 78% melee dps bonus. A dirge might be nice. A scout for track is handy if on a named hunt (and for evac, if the fury doesn't have it.. can't remember). The illu would buff haste, which is less useful for a monk (already close to cap). |

An illusionist (or coercer) can work well in a small group using crowd control so the group only needs to fight one mob at a time. That requires actively playing them to do well. It also conflicts rather with the furies AE attacks.A dirge would work better as boxed toon that is mainly there as a buff bot.The DPS buff would complement the monk well. The hate buff would help the monk keep aggro off the fury.Evac and tracking are very useful utilityIt would not be hard to use the encounter debuffs at the start of a fight.

![]() Take the dirge. Evac alone is a life saver. |

![]() I recommend a Bard (too). Either a Dirge or Troubadour mainly depending on whether the Monk or Fury is bringing more DPS to the fight. A DPS-specced Fury with a Troubadour is wicked; I duo-box that very combo and it shreds through heroic mobs like hobbits through Jumjum pies. If the Fury is specced for group support and the Monk is the primary source of DPS then go with the Dirge for their melee buffs. Either way, a Bard is the easiest class to multi-box with, just load a few songs and press /follow. A Bard brings track, power regen, run speed and evac, the Fury has group invis and portals and monk has group feign death so you will have lots of utility with that trio. |

![]() Go with Conjuror due to ease of play. If nothing else, you can sic the pet on your targetand concentrate on your monk. If you are alt tabing between instances you can still get off the occasional spell from the conj. |

Thank you for all the great advise everyone, I really appreciate the help. Allignment is an issue becuase it is a pvp server, and I think I will go with a bard toon for the evac and track but the conj sounds very very tempting for the extra dps when rolling through instances. Once again thank you all for your input

I would recommend a a Troubador over a Dirge if you are using a Monk and Fury.Dirges go really well with Shadow Knights, Necromancers and Warlocks due to their Poison and Disease damage and debuffs.Where the Troub mainly does magic and metal from memory. So they'd go well with the Monk.
