- I'll believe it when I see it!

Not necessarily, yes it brings your pet to you, however i  have noticed that half the time my pet decides to run back to where he was then finish the run to me. now that i have a carpet i cross zones and have to wait as much as 2 minutes for my pet to catch up with me. I will be so happy if my pet could keep up with me.

Obviously you have never had your pet half-way across a zone when a PVP battle begins.  By the time you summoned your pet, you could easily be half-dead.

But thanks for your comment, really helpful, and it shows you know all there is to know before you comment, well done.

They are going to change it back so that our pets can keep up with us?  That's wonderful news!  My spider was the only thing in the game that was slower than me. I've also experienced the situation where the spider gets into a fight, you call the spider, and then he runs back off to the fight.  I'd try to call him back and then rapidly hit the "back off" command.  If I wasn't quick enough, then he'd still run away.  It's even gotten so that I would dismiss the pet and re-summon him.  Nothing worse than having a "Where's the spider?  Where's the spider?  BAM!  You revive..." experience.  Stupid spider.

I've experienced this. Usually happens if I hit "Pet Attack" during or before I call my pet. When my pet appears, he bolts the opposite direction of the mob I'm sending him at. Usually though, a quick "Back Off" then "Attack" will fix things.

When they say the pet will keep up with us, does that hold true while on a mount? Man, that would be nice.

Annoying isn't it? I just roll up on a mob and stay out of agro range or stay invis until my pet catches up to me and then /pet attack. Will be nice to have him there with me all the time especially when one of those cranky see through invis mobs lays the smack down on me while my pet is still 20 seconds out!

Lol, I can't even remember last time I saw my pet anywhere near me.

It's not like I am speedy gonzales and hard to keep up with. So my fights are usually like this :

1. /pet attack

2. realise pet is 2 towns away

3. fear mob

4. root mob

5 cast spell to get pet near me

6 pet runs in the opposite direction, trying to attack from the other side of the world

7. stop pet

8. mob is dead by now anyway

9. bash pet in the teeth because I have to do everything alone !

Still not fixed.

I ran around EL and the wall/creeks/hills still give the pet trouble.

It may be better than it was, but it's still far from where it should be.

Not fixed.  In fact he's buggy as hell now.  Does a 90 degree turn when he runs.  Runs straight then turns to the right then runs then turns to the right.  And definitely not keeping up.  But it could be the continued issues with pathing on inclines/declines.  Pet's for some reason can't handle it.
