Hi all, im trying to choose between a melee specced Warden or a Bruiser for some light solo farming. Both are in their 40's now. The Bruiser has feign death but it seems balanced by the warden's ports, run speed and evac. I also plan to take up tinkering so I think I can fill the gap in either case of the classes. Both seem to be really good fighters at this point with the bruiser doing more damage but the warden having much better durability but i'm not sure how this progresses later on. I want to be able to take on bosses in the end game and tackle some tougher quest content.Which do you guys think is better equipped for this task.

I do have a 71 monk but i prefer the Warden. On higher levels there are many items with +CA. If you really spec for melee you can get two more CA from AA. Some races get another CA from their racial abilities. I love the halfelves mitigation debuff + damage. With 3 more CA's faster weapons are game for you

![]() Another vote for melee warden. I won't discount the value of FD, but honestly if you are using FD that often you got problems. The warden gets around faster, is more duriable, can take down groups better and on a bonus is wanted in groups. Brawlers are not desired in groups that often, and you won't be hunting named near your level like a warden. Which means less drops and plat to be earned. FD is nice, but is a crutch to getting you thru content that other classes don't need it for. |

So you are saying that melee wardens can kill tougher named than bruisers can? |

![]() That is what I am saying... Bruiser has to rely on being avoidance tank and has a limited heal. The heal won't keep up on damage spikes they are bound to run into. More so vs a blue or white ^^^ named mob. Sure vs a end green named, they are ok, but Wardens chew thru them also The Warden with their buffs have plenty of power to melee and HOT (heal over time) down harder mobs. This is later in the game, say post 30th. The Warden will have more AA's to flesh out the STR line for heal procs and the key 26th melee buff. I have a melee warden and a monk so can give some insight. Warden hands down for me. |

Thanks for the info. I really thought Bruisers were on par as far as boss killing with wardens but this definitely leans me toward Wardens.Mayl wrote:

ROFL... Play a brusier vs. a Warden @ 75+... The brusier will take down more mobs, easier, and more safely 99.99999% of the time. The brusier will have insane avoidance (and avoidance is only a non-issue against Epics, which neither are soloing). Can self-heal, pop stone-deaf and close-mind to avoid spell damages/roots/stuns/etc... Provide KO combo for some insane dps, heal, and in the WORST case, FD, wash-rise-repeat... the warden... will be DEAD.Sorry, but the Brusier will out-solo, out-harvest, out everything a warden solo.
