![]() Hi, I'm still pretty new to EQ2 (3 months), and I have my 59 necro set up for solo PVE. I have the tainted heals line, and my INT increased, tank pet maxed, and a few other minor skills. Yesterday, a friend of mine (60 Warden) who is probably equipped very nicely completely destroyed me twice in duels. The first I had my tank pet (adept III) and the second I used the mage pet (adept I). I lost even faster with the mage pet. Pretty much all my spells are adept I or better. I mainly rely on siphon life and accursed cloud spells for most of my damage. I have pretty good gear (all lvl 52 mastercrafted for INT) and a nice weapon +34 INT. Any ideas what I can maybe change to defeat her? It's kind of a pride thing, that is all, because she really spanked me. Is that wardens are actually good at PVP?? I'm not sure. I can think of a few mistakes I made (not bringing out my other little pets to help), and I probably should have used some of my debuffs on her, and maybe I shouldnt have had my liche buff on...im not sure. thanks |

![]() Why be a necro if you dont use your full abilities? Tank pet in duels. Defensive stance. The taunt makes the other player change targets. Use all your dots, swarm pets, life taps, everything you have....do not limit yourself to direct damage lifetaps....we do not have enough DPS that way. Use your root, fear, stun, dispell magic...which will all also proc your lifetaps if the warden is forced to turn to your pet. If you are solo spec'd you should have the stamina line. This will make your tank bet better, have a taunt you control, and an aoe knockdown. I am not the most polished at PvP, personally dont like it, but my first PvP fight with my necro was against a fury in my guild before a raid that dueled all the time. I knocked her out 3 of 3 tries, even though she kept begging for another chance. I just dont like dueling or PvP in MMO's.

![]() Thanks for the tips, I will take those into consideration. I think the biggest thing I wasnt doing was stunning and dispelling magic. And dont get me wrong. I dont limit myself to two or three spells during PVE, I pretty much use almost everything I got. I just mainly rely on a couple heavy hitters |

![]() i would be surprised if you cast undead tide after root, fear and stunning her that you wouldnt win - and/or lifeburn too. undead tide is really powerful but just make sure she doesnt challenge you more than once every 15 minutes!! does perceptors command work in pvp? if it does that helps too as keeps aggro on tank pet. never tried pvp but could try these ideas - may help. ![]() Are you on a pvp server or is this a duel? But anyway, the scout pet has a couple stifles correct, stifled priest = dead priest. Wardens (and furies) are a tough nut to crack though in any case. GL |

![]() Granted I haven't dueled since January, so my hints may be out of date. I always started off with fear then dump the pets. Most of the tanks fear is usless on them, dunno about the warden for sure. I do know one thing, every class has a weakness that we can exploit. You just need to find the Wardens'. You can't duel every class the same.

* Get your cold resist up as high as you can.* Pet on warden but you kill tree if they cast it during coutdown.* Be agressive and try to get them on the back foot, having to heal themselves not damaging you.* Don't let them melee you.* Blue ae any dogs asap.* Be ready to cure arcane your pet should they decide to root it.

umm im actually wondering how your losing so fast, and why your actually.... losing,, Constrict her asap, Cast your Swarm rats, forget the ghastly stench, too long and not worth it, then Cast your Dooming darkness, Deathly coil, Death Rot, Siphon Life, each of these spells pops Lich damage and also throw in the WiS Sta debuff as wellCast your COnsumption on your pet then, and put him in Offensive stance, i never lost a duel to a healer class in t6 and t7, plus think out what you want to cast.
