RoK bucklers?

Just curious what sort of Bucklers I should start looking for as a Zerker --

 I've been keeping my eye out on the worldwide zerker channel, but have yet to see any bucklers--

 anyone know of any?

Only decent bucklers i have seen have been for healers, no warrior love yet.

almost crapped myself when i saw the one in chardok a week ago that had 900 protection, too bad it is bard/priest only.. think we got WW disco on that one.

Aye the only bucklers I've seen so far have been for healers. Hell my wife just picked one up the other day on her Inquisitor hehe.

yeah, we're still farming the Howler then leaving FTH for a buckler for me.Haven't seen anything better.

They better add T8 bucklers for us, or there's going to be huge avoidance gap between tower and buckler in T8. Towers with +1800 prot, T8 stats/effects and + block bonuses will beat T7 bucklers anyday. Legendary bucklers with 600+ and fabled with 650+ protection needed.

has anyone see any kind of shields yet?  I'm on Nagafen and the only shield I have seen, buckler/tower/kite or otherwise is the legendary off the x2 contested in the jungle.

all i have seen are healer bucklers as well, which i agree is disappointing.

I've seen a couple of shields but not any that would be used by anyone with decent gear already. I saw a decent buckler that my wife picked up and a tower shield that wasn't near as good as any of the legendary towers from T7. I agree that we need some badass legendary and fabled bucklers added or some of us are going to require a little tweeking.

i've had no issues tanking anything with the old EoF bucklers yet

the main question is how are the progression buckler specced raid tanks doing?

havent seen any new bucklers yet...all my armor is EoF and i dont have problems tanking as well.Did CoA today at lvl 77 with other ppls lvl 74-78, noone died during the whole run!berserk ftw

Perhaps SOE is looking to change the direction of the buckler situation with tanks?  That could explain the lack of "warrior" bucklers, they don't know what they want to do and/or haven't found a way to implement a change so they're just not adding them.

But I agree...I've received one buckler so far and that was from a Kylong Plains quest and it was healer orientated.

i doubt it, the only tanks i saw using planks were having aggro issues due to low DPS.

well I rerolled into Barbarian for the racials, I should probably change my sig, so far I've found some great gear upgrades, or similar quality to "some of the stuff" I had on ailen my human, (ie GBH and Buckler of the Howler)   I'm using Ironplate shielding atm, and that thing is pretty weak.  I'm on PvP and there's an "ok" buckler you can get from the PvP merchant, which I'm saving up my pvp tokens for at the moment, but I was hoping to find something of better quality than my silly Ironfang one, tokens are hard to come by.  I'm pretty much exclusively our off-tank for Raids.. so I doubt I need that much help....

There's all kinds of weapons, all kinds of jewelry, all kinds of armor to be had, my bags are so full of it all, but I haven't found a single buckler save the 2 healer ones (one from Kylong and there's another one that comes from Jarsath Wastes), and they both compare to my ironplate shielding for protection but with healer stats... (treasured)...  I'm wondering, did they just leave the shields out or something?  I'd figure by now I'd at the very least have some kind of tower/kite of some sort in my bag(boxes heh!) but nothing so far.

I'm still using my old buckler and not really complaing about it as much as I'm just hoping there is a better one to look forward too.

I have seen the link to a pretty sick tower shield, totally forget the name now though. Was uber enough that if I got it, I would drop buckler spec in a heartbeat. There was also a fabled buckler linked in the ww zerk channel the other night that had ok stats, but no str or sta, wouldn't drop Howler for it though.

Virtue's Guard is now a Buckler, and adds +Combat Arts damage.

so we'll have an option when that update comes out.

That shield is going to get nerfed.That's a 12% block chance at 80 roughly.Add 8% riposte and you've got a tower shield with all our double attack. I could see a buckler warrior easily topping over 65-70% displayed evasion with it equipped.

that buckler used to be a round shield. it was mislabeled when it was round shield, when it got fixed i m sure Fyreflite just changed the labelling of the shield to buckler leaving the other stats alone. as much as i hope it doesnt get nerfed i m sure it will .

Drops from Protector's Realm.Pretty nice one, i guess the prot is dropping to 650-700, which would still be great upgrade. Too bad i don't have really high chances to get it from our warriors

Fabled bucklers typically top out at 6-7% block chance at their level.I'd expect it to drop not to 600-700 but drop all the way down to 480-560. That's where T8 fabled bucklers should land. Round shields should pop in around 960-1040 (12-13%), and tower shields around 1540-1620 (18-19%) as rough guidelines. Right now that buckler is in the mid-low range of a fabled round shield.Remember we had a shield with broken block chance before, the flapping wing shield in T7 (it also had round shield level protection) and it was also nerfed into the ground (as it should have been.)Hopefully they will offer a compelling upgrade to Buckler of the Howler. Really it's going to be a very difficult challenge for them to do so.BotH: 438 Protection = 5.475 block chance to an 80 (unless it gets extra penalty for being grey)T8 Fabled: 480-560: = 6-7 block chance to an 80.Half a block chance for 25 dps proc... Going to be real tough for them to provide a viable upgrade without giving us another overpowered buckler. But hey, you never know, they might not fix it and we'll end up with over 30% uncontested avoidance.

Festering Flesh buckler is Legendary has +6 defense and just over 500 Protection, no way should this buckler be LESS than that thing, it's fabled, and it's level 78.

I would hope the final protection lands around 600'ish, there's a PvP buckler on the PvP server, where typically PvP items are a tad under fabled raid loot, and it's sitting in the high 500s.

I saw a link somewhere of a tower shield that had like 1600-1700 protection *I could be inflating this a little but I remember seeing it going holy crap* with the way mobs hit, I hope they up the protection on all these things.

As I said, I'm on a PvP server, and my guild is evil, and we're not the "uber" raiders that speak so much on these forums, they hate how I take spike damage and pretty much leave EVERYTHING to our guardian, and even when we lost our guardian they cried, we need to get one when I said I'd tank it all.  It's not about the aggro, it's about the spike damage.  I blame that a lot on our healers, for not paying more attention getting by on guardian abilities...   A very knowledgeable player in my guild said, drop the buckler get a tower shield, but my avoidance changes like .7% , and I lose 60% double attack for that?  No way, figure out how to heal me I say.

I say push the shields up even higher and limit them to fighters only, not able to be used by priests, because quite honestly the way these raid mobs and regular mobs hit, I think we need a boost somewhere anyways.

Tower from X2 dragon in Kunzar has over 1700 prot and 3% block chance bonus, no way less than 600 is gonna cut it for me, 650 atleast for legendary, my current T7 legendary has 503.

I guess it could be possible that they've realized that tanks aren't that much tougher than a lot of scouts in some cases and they're trying to bring our defenses back up to par by buffing shields or something. They'll likely never give us worthwhile mitigation, so giving us overpowered shields may be the order of the day. If there's really a kite shield with something like 1700 protection (21.5% block chance) and +3% block chance on that... then yeah. That's a nearly 25% block chance shield. 30% on a Paladin.
