The Non-Aggro Sarnacks near Chardok.

Any found the quest that prooves yourself to the Warlord in the tower near Chardok, the one surrounded by non-aggro NPC Sarnacks?

There is an emmisary of the faction near the Gash, and loads of Infiltrators of the faction lying around the woods.

I've noticed these guys as well. The NPCs up top the tower deffinitly indicate that they are part of a quest line that will lead to them. I'll keep you updated if I find anything.

The only info I could find on these Sarnaks (The Gwalnax Brigade) is something about a item called a Dull Kromslayer, or something like that. A guildmate of mine found one on the ground somewhere in Kylong Plains, it looks like your usual No-Trade quest starter, but apparently it doesn't start anything.

The link between these two things is a single post about an unfinished quest on the beta boards. Maybe it was taken out instead of finished

Dull Kromslayer? or Kromdul Slayer? Kromdul is the name of the forest giants.

I'll try to get a more exact location and name from my guildmate. He said he found it in the area near the arbor giants in Kylong. Same area as the Emissary and Infiltrators are in.

Also, there is a NPC with the Gwalnax Brigade faction tag in the Bathezid Watch in Fens. He doesn't want to talk to you because you haven't proven yourself to his commander.

Anyone ever found out any more on how to get these quests started? In beta they just gave quests but now apparently you have to do something first.

I also found the dull Kromslayer (I think that's the items name - I remember it sounding familiar from my EQ1 days...), and when I spoke to the commander of the Gwalnax in the tower he took the item from me, IIRC gave me faction with Gwalnax, and said to return if I found more items.  If I get any more info I'll add it here

Where did you find the dull kromslayer at? was it off a mob or on the ground? I have killed a bunch of the giants and looked all over the camp and haven't found anything.

I found the item twice.Both times the item was on the ground. First time was close to the large trunk near Heighton that serves as a bridge over the gash. The second time was very close to the ramp leading donw to the the giants camp.I destroyed it both times, since nobody did know what to do with it. Will try to find it again now that it seems to be for something after all.

You need to take the spears back the warlord 4 or 5 times, til faction is -5000. Then you can get a quest to find the scouts, the quest after then leads into Chardok.

I have been all over this place for a couple of hours and have yet to see anything, what does the item look like and can it be targeted or do you just have to move your mouse over it? I guess my luck just sucks at finding it.

I finally found the spear right where people said it was, either right by the tree bridge or right before the ramp down into the hold in the middle of the little path. Unfortunately they only seem to spawn at certain times. I had been over this area over and over again without seeing them then they popped, had brought back 3 when my internet went out, when it came back up they were gone in both instances of kylong. So if you don't see them, you'll just have to wait and come back later and hope they are up.

Actually, what I noticed tonight is that there are three spawn points and any time you clear out all three, they all re-pop, either instantly or within the minute or two it takes to run the spear back for faction. There are two where the other posts say they are and a third near the base of the huge tree near the red tome piece by the giant camp (south side of the camp, the spear is on the side closest to the camp).

Pretty sure those three spots are it. As far as I could tell, I was the only one doing them last night and they all re-spawned after I picked up those three of them.

Just must be my bad luck but after 5 hours of walking around the giant camp edges, I still can't find any spears laying down, standing up, poking out of the ground, etc. Originally I thought I must be needing to find one to respawn others but all of the spots listed above plus what EQ2Maps POI's are showing and I can't find them.

 Nobody is harvesting them, I'm out by myself, so any ideas?

I've only found one of the swords...which as stated above is right by the log bridge at Highton.  Fly to Highton, go thru the log bridge, turn around and look on the right side of the log (on the ground) -  took about a minute for it to appear.  Still looking for the other two...

I spent some time in the Stone Woods last night searching for the dull kromslayers.  I probably circled that giant encampment four or five times, checking each of the EQ2Maps POIs for the knromslayers.  The dull kromslayer is a non-targetable but hand highlightable ground spawn.  It is a spear and lies on the ground horizontally.  Depending on where it spawns, it can end up partially or even mostly hidden within the ground (kind of like some of the giants).This was taken on the south side of the arbor giant compound just inside the ring of leaning tree trunks.This was taken perhaps 30 feet from the first shot, just outside the ring.  That's a living tree in the picture, not the defensive ring.Here it is in it's full glory.  This picture was taken when it spawned directly between the two arbor giants right at the entrance to the compound.  It spawns right in the open and was plainly visible from a long distance away.  From over by the gorge it looked almost like a graphical anomaly, but as you get closer you can see that it is an actual object laying on the ground.After I found the first one, I quickly located it again four more times.  It is a lore item, so you will have to run back to the Gwalnax Brigade tower after each pick up.  I was never able to locate a kromslayer at the hollowed out tree trunk bridge, but given the number of reports of it spawning there it obviously must spawn there occasionally. Three of my five kromslayers were found in the same location, the one mentioned with the first picture.After you get your faction to -5000 you can still see the dull kromslayers (so you can assist other people in locating them), but you cannot pick them up.  When you attempt to pick it up you get a pop-up box that states: "You have no need for this rusted kromslayer".  Once you reach -5000 faction you can get the quest "Leave no Di'Zok behind" from Warlord Gadar Gwalnax.  Note that he does not have a feather over his head for the first quest (though that may have been due to my level and the quest being gray to me), but does for subsequent quests.I hope this proves helpful to some of you.  I know when I was first looking last night I wasn't even sure what to look for.Corrected a typo.
