I At level 72 I attempted to attack a heroic ^^^ lvl 71 in the fens. Me and a conjy guild started out and this was how the battle went-
Chain stuns from me, mob got down to 60% Mob Hits for 4,635 Knockout combo ends, Self heal returns 4,245 hp's Mob hits for 3,089 Mob Hits for 6,807 *I die* Conjy runs for his life. You have to understand this battle only lasted a short a time, about 30 sec, but the time when the mob started hitting me was only about 6 of those seconds. All in all i failed to avoid a single hit and ate it in 3 wonderful hits. Only got the mob to 45%. Though effectively it makes the game fun, I dont know of a single healer that could have saved me in those 3 hits. True, with another dps it would have drop a lot faster(hell me and the conjy were only dpsing 3000+ each) but if 1 heroic can do that to me, i doubt theres any way in hell i could tank 2 heroics at once. If both hit for 6800+ at close to the same time, would be insta death, served cold.

I found that Avoidance > Mitigation with RoK mobs (Not just leather tanks but plate tanks also).RoK mobs seem to hit so hard that even a mitigation tank seems better when they give up some mit for more avoidance. |

I agree. I was in a group in KC with a Pally as MT and he wasn't able to hold up with the mobs at the entrance. He left in frustration and I took over and we were able to kill 3 named and tour the zone for a bit.

Could have very easily have been a bad streak, true true. Just a heads up for any brawler that is thinking, "I wonder if i can take that guy...."

![]() I think its interesting that you managed to get him down to 45% and he only got 3 attacks in. Thta says alot about what SOE had in mind with these mobs. I play a brigand main and stunning is a major part of our game too. I notice that I can get the mob down to red before I start getting hit as well...but then when Im waiting those last few seconds for my stuns to recycle, they can really put the hurt on. So maybe the point for RoK is dont get hit. Bring your favorite mezzer/stifler/stunners with you. Sounds like healers will need their help

In this case, they have hard time tanking. Though, for casual brawler, they can have about 40%-43% mitigation and 60% avoidance in defensive, they have hard time tanking as well. For high end plate tanks and brawlers, plate tanks have 60% mitigation and 60% avoidance comparing to 50% mitigaiton and 67%-70% avoidance. Both can tank heroic encounters fine but brawlers still have more spike damages than plate tanks. It's still harder for healers to keep brawlers up.For example, when tanking Drusella, it has 1181 dps on me and 1101 on guild guardian the other day. Also, when I was tanking, I have dropped to yellow more often than when the guardian was tanking. We have same healers, warden and mystic, in each case.Overall, It's still easier for healers to keep high end plate tanks over high end brawlers. |

What I'm saying is regardless of that class it is against RoK mobs I believe you would be better off raising you avoidance over mitigation if you can.I just find RoK mobs to be low accuracy, high damage mobs and avoiding high damage shots seems to work better then mitigating it.Bad streak maybe?
