This is my problem, as well.I was on a wireless connection, but I also have a wired connection and after the trouble began, I plugged into that, and the issue wasn't resolved.I'm curious what changed (server-side) to cause this issue all of a sudden. I hope I don't need to deal with my ISP... I live in China and I don't speak very good Chinese. Dealing with my ISP is going to be an enormous headache.

![]() You need to find out if you are on dynamic IP adress through your ISP If you are there is a good chance the sony servers wont talk with your PC well that was my issue anyways, like I said I plugged into DSL and the issue went away so I called my ISP and they gave me an IP adress to imput into my router, sometimes wireless dynamic IP's are not secure enough to play online games, if you know anyone on wireless who plays halo 3 they will tell you the same thing, PS halo posted that you needed to do this to enter the game =P now both my wifes and my PC are online in eq again

Just a note, my issue was mysteriously resolved. Attempted to log in this morning (after two days of dead time) and it worked.

Whether you have a static IP or dynamic IP, the servers could care less. That is not your problem.

![]() You need to find out if you are on dynamic IP adress through your ISP If you are there is a good chance the sony servers wont talk with your PC That is 100% bullsh*t. I'd estimate that over 98% of EQ2 players are using DHCP. Most ISPs will charge from $10-$20/month for a static IP. No SOE game has required a static IP. The original poster's issue has nothing to do with static vs dynamic IP. |

![]() sorry, but thats complete bs. you do definitly not need to have a static ip to play eq2. the issue about logging into zone servers must be caused by something else, but not by dynamic ip's. |
