Im currently printing out the manual ive got in my eq2 directory but it seems incredibly out of date (its advertising 'ground breaking' pcs worse than the hunk of junk im playing on). i was wandering if there was a more upto date one available anywhere?

Try here:  EverQuest II ManualYou don't really need it though.  The game is pretty easy to get started in.

Short answer: Nope.Longer answer: Nope. There is no such thing as an "up to date manual". Never. In any game. There is always something or things which didn't make it to the writers in time. The programmers have stuck something else in, taken something out or just moved it so it isn't where it's supposed to be. Writers complain all the time. Doesn't help. The project just moves too fast to keep up. This is even truer in business software. SMILEY

the most up to date eq2 manual is called asking in lvl channelSMILEYwell, keeping a manual for a mmorpg up to date would be pretty hard... just ask if you dont know something, we wont bite

To be honest, the pop-up tutorial stuff you get as a newbie character is probably going to be far more helpful than any of the old manuals for the game as it stands today. So much has changed. Those give you the basics of the game play & interface.

Yes, you're on it.  These boards contain the most up-to-date information on all aspects of the game.  Finding something specific may require using the search feature, but chances are extreme that if you are seeking info on something, then someone before you has already asked about it.  In regards to items and quests and other details, I have also found this resource very useful:
