Please do not flame me I did do a search and tried to find the info...

I do raid twice a week and I have no back-up armour to speak of what I need to find out is what is a good all around resist armour; also what potions could/should I be useing I have never before been asked to have them but I just hit 70 and have been put in the MT group and need to know how to get my resists up higher as I seem to be a lot closer to the main action now.

just forget about resist gear, its complete useless for raiding atm. Hit Points its what matters.if u wanna feel better on our resists, get WIS all high you can, that gives resists and also more power.and for potions, the more useful onesElixir of Second Sight:  + crit heal + crit spellsFreedom of Mind: 10 secs inmune stun and stifleFreedom of Action: 10 secs inmune to root and fear(that two can be used while stuned/stifled/rooted/feared, and also any tier or level work exactly the same, use cheap ones)Elixir of Intellect: +INT for 30 mins  (if you use nukes)Elixir of Fortitude: +STR for 30mins (if you melee)See http://www.eq2alchemy.com/ for a complete list on potions

I totally agree with Gitana, once you have decent gear, having separate resist sets will not have as much effect on you as you might think.  Instead I have a macros to equip gear for max Heal, max DPS and max Power Conservation (man I wish SOE would let us do quests multiple times in order to get each different gear choice, lol).

With how cheap they are, I always have at least 1 stack of the following:

Essence of Clarity: power over timeFreedom of Mind: anti-stun/stifleElixir of Intellect: Increased INT (I usually keep this up all the time)Elixir of Transcendence: Increased Power Pool (I use on a couple of rare fights where power could be an issue if things go south)

Only one elixir can be used at a time-so if I find a good deal, I stock up on the much more expensive Elixir of Second Sight (+4 heal/spell crit) to use against harder targets.

Essence of Clarity vs. Transcendence....Clarity gives you a little more power overall than Transcendence.

Second Sight:   Heal Crits might mean you don't need as much power

Freedom of Action/Freedom of Mind:  Really awesome, but time their useage because they have a long recast.  Don't PvP without these two, either.

INT for sure, STA ...maybe, depending on what you are doing.

It also helps to have Arcane cure potions (or any other cure for that matter).   Double check the potions that Ward against the things that need curing before you buy.  By the time you hit 70 they don't cure high enough for the mobs you are fighting in a lot of cases.

I think you are confused Arielle SMILEYEssence of Clarity is regen power over time and Essence of Power is a regen power all at once.  It is true that Clarity gives more total power than the other.  Both of these essences would be cast during the fight and both are on the same timer (you would cast one or the other).

Elixir of Transcendence increases your total power pool for 15 minutes, and as such you would cast before the fight and it is on the same timer as the other Elixirs.
