This would be great ! I play on my laptop a lot and I don't have a pad of paper and writing instrument with me all of the time . I can use window mode and use Window's notepad but an in game version would be better for writing down addresses for shopping and just general notes and references . I am guessing this has been brought up before but I did not play for years and I rarely visit the boards as I would rather be playing the game than talking about it so I apologize in advance to the board historians .

![]() I just keep a shortcut on my pc desktop to Notepad so when I need it I window out of eq2 and type in what I need. If I want a lengthy passage copied verbatim then I just open the folder with my chatlogs (also has a shortcut on my desktop) and cut & paste into the Notepad. This helped me a lot during SoD. I just use the macro system myself I throw up a few lines of /say "whatever I need to know" , sure its weird to anyone who passes hearing me say whatever but makes people less likely to bother me with questions as they don't care to deal with crazy people .

I hear yas - I have notepad on my quicklaunch bar for the purpose of this game but I would still like to see one in game . It would be a nice feature - ya'll would have use for seeing as you are using other work-arounds for note taking . Is it a feature in other in other MMO's you have played ? I do not think I have ever seen it .It does not seem like it would be too hard of a thing to add compared to the work these guys do with games .

Use Google Docs or one of the other online word processors in the in-game browser.

It'd be handy for To-Do lists, as well... for quests, things I want to craft for friends, things I need to harvest, etc. I've used Google Notebook that way for work; why not for EQ?!Thanks for the tip!. |

I just type in text in game, but click the gameworld screen. It keeps what ever you type there. Tracking more than one quest at a time would be nice, like in WoW. More waypoints (that aren't bugged) is a must for this game. Quests are a pain and less fun due to having to visit other sites for tips on what to do each step. PLus on a pvp server, you often get ganked while you're reading away. Or, Sony just needs to give it's players an extra pc to use while playing lol.

Or are their options of the type of window you can open?Curiously it would let me click buttons, and most responded as expected but I could not open a new Google Doc document.Google Doc works fine for me in a normal browser, just doesn't work for me in the in-game one.
