I still enjoy it and been playing since the start of 05.

I have a question..being at the same level for a week is too long for you?  What is your expectation?  A level a day soloing?  Just curious.

I  think 1 level level 55-60+ should be aroundd 12-15 hours of gameplay if you stay on task...Also yes soloing is a lot easier now and there is alot more to solo.

I get about 1-2 levels a day solo from levels 20-50.  Prolly more like 3 a day from 20-30.  More if I don't solo.

The hardest levels to grind are 50 to 60 and then 60 to 70. If you grind writs like a robot and just fight and kill with little down time the 50s can be done is 60 hours of game play and the 60s can be done in 100 hours of game play. The level cap is about to go to 80 I would expect the grind to 80 would be much more lengthy. The grind of the first 50 levels is trivial at best these days.

Hello all.I would just like to ask a few things about the game. Since my account is reactivated for a month, I was thinking of trying it out again but would like to get an idea before I DL and install the game again.I haven't played in a little over 1 year - maybe 2 years. Is it much more easier to solo? I remember I would have a hard time and it would go slow. Is there a lot more quests to do? I would like to be able to go at a fast pace and not be stuck at the same level for a few days. I have a level around 40ish character and I remember I would hit a wall sometimes and be at the same lvl for like a week.Did they make it easier for those who don't have the time to raid to be able to get good gear and spells? I just remember the game was too focused on raiding/guilds and was very hard for a casual player to make progress.Well, thanks for reading.

The game has improved for soloists.  Overland areas have become more solo-friendly while dungeons have become more group-friendly.  The fastest way to reach the maximum level solo is to kill white and yellow con mobs and turn-in white and yellow con quests.  Collect those shinies/glowies and turn them in promptly.  Travel to every location in every zone to get those discoveries.  Upgrade to the best gear, food, CA's, charms, and spells as soon as possible or else you won't be able to kill yellows or whites to maintain that high XP rate.

As for good gear, named solo mobs are likely candidates for master chests.  Some named mobs as low as level 5 can drop master chests.  The best gear drops from raid mobs so you won't get those as a soloist unless you buy them.  If you later choose to group or raid, "Need-Before-Greed" groups will be your best bet for gear upgrades.
