![]() I have many characters I'm what you call an alt-a-holic (I also have a real life, career, family kids etc..) I have a 65 paladin, 55 warlock, 38 troub(42 alch), 38 necro, 36 conj(66 sage), 13 warden, 28 wizard, and a billion other characters that have been deleted over time. I want to do the following
I like all of my characters, what is the best character to do this with? I solo a lot, but also want to get groups and be able to do raids. Thanks for any guidance on my situation. |

Troubadours are very asked for in raids. Not a pain to level up either. When you start raiding with one guild, you'll start making alts rather because the class is needed, not necessarily because you feel like it. If you're a Trouby or Warden, you probably will never have to level an alt for raiding purposes though.Ask yourself this question: what exactly do you want from your character?

![]() I think the answer has to be..."whichever toon you feel happiest about playing." I'm like you..I've rolled dozens of toons. Only one of them made it high enough for a class hat (level 68 Mystic) but i deleted him because I got bored. I play my Dirge, Conj, and SK more than my other toons, because I have more fun with them. But I think it's just a matter of personal choice. |

![]() Between your toons I'd go with either of the necro, conj, warden, wizard or warlock. Of those the best to get into raids would most likley by the warden, which also can solo pretty good. Summoners are great to play solo because of their pets, but are a dime a dozen on most servers and sometimes leading to a hard to find spot in a raid guild. Same as wizzies and locks, outstanding dps'rs but a dime a dozen. The troub would be nice for the raids but afaik they don't solo that great (mind you any class can solo, just some MUCH better then others) I posted a reply to another thread this morning asking... What class do YOU want to play? What class will YOU have fun with? Answer those questions and you'll have your class

You sound like a person with a very busy life. I wouldn't plan on building/picking a class with the primary goal of raiding. Raids take time, and getting into a "raid guild" requires a huge comitment. There casual raiding guilds, which are a lot more linient, and even pickup raids. If I were you, I'd pick a class that I think I would enjoy. A family person should really consider a class that fits into groups but soloes well. Time constraints will make soloing a fact of life. I'd recommend a bruiser or monk. Both solo really well, and are fun to play. While they are tanks, they can play a decent dps role as well. You'll do great in groups and extremely well solo. Consider a Brigand, or Swashy as well. With the right spec you'll be a soloing machine, which does very well in groups and even in a raids. Brigands solo extremely well, but you have to get used to moving behind the target inbetween stuns. The swashbuckler does great with multiple mobs, and requires less jumping around. I'd strongly recomend that one. As a family type person, you need a class that soloes REALLY well, not one that can get by. When time is at a premium, it can get depressing not being able to accomplish the tougher quests solo.

If you want to raid, Troubador is far more in demand than the other classes on your list. They are also a good class to learn raid mobs & raiding ideas on as people love the utility so much they usually will cut you some slack on your dps & other pieces. Edit : this is not to say troubs don't have other functions. Troubs dps pretty nice these days, and jesters, potm, and debuffs can be critical on strategies. For raiding:If you want to be popular and /easy mode --- troub. If you want to be popular and not dps -- warden might make it but not a lock to make it.If you want to fight and compete and earn everything -- necro or warlock or wizard.

Ziv, I'd say heres what you need to do, only play 1 character... I know...I know...they are all so much fun...but you really have to focus, so... put on the blinders, and don't even go to the character select screen, just log directly into game with the character you choose and thats it..solo, group, what ever but just play that one character. What you have to decide is "Which" is really the character that is your calling. |

Some people in my guild have 24 characters. Should I ask them if they want to come?
