I reactivated my account after a couple of months. Patching worked OK before ... none of the settings on my computer changed since last time.Patcher always halts with the message "Downoad Canceled" ... I can't patch to even come to the playing part.I'm running XP, with direct DSL connection (no router in between). What is the solution ... disabling or uninstalling the firewall is not an option. Firewall works fine, and does NOT block the game to acess the net.I repeat, I played the game in April, with exactly the same hardware and software setup.P.S: I browsed the support forums before posting - advising your customers, especialy ones on broadband not just to disable. but to uninstall their firewalls and andti-virus software in order to be able to acess the game is very harmful advice.

![]() Exact same thing here. Looked at this thread and may be same issue: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=381749 Downloading all of the PKS now. Looking in the paks directory it looks like the patcher has gone past the file that was causing the problem, the Char_mounts_delta.vpk "P.S: I browsed the support forums before posting - advising your customers, especialy ones on broadband not just to disable. but to uninstall their firewalls and andti-virus software in order to be able to acess the game is very harmful advice. " Even though this article is almost 3 years old it shows just how bad not having firewall running can be: http://www.techweb.com/wire/security/54201306 |

![]() I'm also having this exact same problem on a vista machine. Setting as admin was no help at all, nor compatibility mode. The only workaround I've found is to update the game on my xp machine and manually copy files over. But this is a royal pain in the butt to do each and every time things get changed. Anyone in Tech Support have any other suggestions? |
